Well hello there my friends and welcome to the closing narratives from the 2021 New York Comic Con. The event itself has been over for days but in our standard fashion its overall coverage is parsed out to make it easier to digest and also find stuff. If you’ve only just arrived you’ll want to click HERE first to see everything that’s come before in a new tab. This post shines the spotlight on the amazing statues of the XM Studios creatives and I’ll begin with their DC Entertainment themed ones. There is no better hero to start with than Superman.
One of the things that XM Studios seem to be known for is offering up Japanese-themed takes on the heroes and villains and these three Batman rogues are among his worst enemies. That’s the Penguin, Scarecrow and The Joker in case you blanked.
Of course where these three villains are comes The Batman and here is the Samuraii version.
This Wonder Woman piece is massive and will be fully painted eventually. It shows the mighty Amazonian facing off against some of her deadliest enemies. This piece will run you several thousand dollars. So if you have the room and you have the cake please let them know you are interested.
This awesome Jungle Queen statue is very reminiscent of Sheena Queen of The Jungle, and not the Sheena is a Punk Rocker from The Ramones. Some might want this one in their Man Cave.
That’s going to be the last of our photographic special side features from the New York Comic Con and tomorrow I will be back with the final posts of the event with Day Four. I do have those videos I mentioned but they will be running in a post of their own following all the photographs. Stay tuned for that.
