The Details: The Mighty Moonspell is returning to NYC and taking command of the headlining stage this time around. Yes the “America Noir Tour” will lay waste to venues around the country and lucky for us, we are going to get the bands brand of Dark Metal here at the Gramercy Theatre. The tour also finds the bands Leaves Eyes and Atrocity joining in for the fans and since neither of those bands are here all that often you know that you don’t want to miss out if at all possible. Thanks to the fine folks at Livenation, we are putting some of the PiercingMetal diehards into the venue for free. What’s cooler than that? Read more.
When and Where: Monday, February 17th @ Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd Street).
To Participate: Give me three reasons why this package interests you most, or three things about the grouping of bands that rings your Metal bell the loudest. You can mix up all three of the nationally touring acts but do give me three things or it will not count. Remember to be sure to enter your full real name and a reachable email address in the comment form (not the comment) so we can firm up your attendance. I will be replying to the comments directly so it never hurts to subscribe to them for the duration of the contest. This contest will close on Friday 2/14.
Restrictions: All of the PiercingMetal contests are open to our loyal readers, Facebook Page likers and Twitter Followers but that being said we are still looking for the new names first. Don’t let that stop you from entering of course but we do keep track based on the overall demand for this stuff now. We want EVERYONE to have a chance to enjoy a show on the provider and us. Please note that Anonymous or Guest comments while approved will not be eligible to win and winners of our recent Dark Tranquillity and For Today contests are also not eligible.

3 I’m interested in leaves eye never heard those guys before abd this could be a great opportunity..
Congratulations Jonathan you have won a ticket to this show, please stay tuned for the full details which will show as a comment from me.
Atrocity are very underrated band. im very happy to see them on a tour of this caliber. they def dont get enough attention and this will for sure open their fan base up!
though im not fond of leaves eyes, they bring a great calm before the storm for the headliner on this tour. i always seem to just catch their last song when they play live, would be great to finally see a whole set.
Moonspell are a diff entity all in it self. last time around as a support band, they only were given a half hour, which is a disgrace. their early albums are simply amazing.
these 3 touring bands together should make for a intense show without a doubt!
Damn how have I not heard about show this until now?!
Ever since I heard “Hallucinations” I’ve been a huge fan of Atrocity. I still have the cassette. Then, the almighty “Longing for Death” arrived and really put them on the map of MeTaL. They’ve done some interesting things between then and now, with Okkult, which brings the band full circle, back to their metal roots.
Every time I see a picture of Liv, or listen to Leaves’ Eyes, reminds of great days, as the old crew used to blast Theater of Tragedy’s “Velvet Darkness They Fear” out of my friend’s Barbie blue Le Baron convertible. What a sight that must’ve been. Five teenage metalheads all in black leather squeezed in that car, blasting some fine European metal.
MoonSpell…well they’re just the tits. I came in a little late for them, but hearing Scorpion Flower for the first time was pretty damn shocking. Especially with guest vocals from hers truly, Anneke Van Geursbdecginfseghijvgen
Since then, I’ve bought all their albums and it is incredibly exciting knowing that I may finally see these bands, in one night. Unbelievable.
But I must say, I’m most excited for Atrocity. Never thought I’d see them. It was bad ass seeing Alex Krull sing with Kamelot (March of Mephisto) some years ago at BB King’s.
But now, the lovebirds are playing nyc together, back to back, with the greatest metal band to hail from Portugal…because there are just so many 😉
Very exciting times.
Congratulations Jacob, you are the first winner of one of our tickets to see Moonspell on Monday 2/17; Please stay tuned to these comments for the full on details.
Heck Yeah!
Incredible news, thank you SO much!
This will be my third attempt to see Leaves’ Eyes, as they cancelled twice before. Hopefully third time is the charm.
I have never seen either Atrocity of Leaves’ Eyes, so I’m looking forward to see this husband-wife pairing of bands.
I haven’t seen Moonspell in 6 years. Last time I did, they opened for Danzig and I was thrown out before they even came on stage for snapping a picture of the opening band (by Danzig security).
Congratulations Stefan you have won a ticket to this show, please stay tuned for the full details which will show as a comment from me.
This is going to be a great concert because of the way the bands complement one another. The heavy gothic darkness of Moonspell is definitely the major attraction for me . They have varied their style a little over time but that doomy emotional core remains. The beautiful female vocals of Leaves Eyes should provide a nice counterpoint. Their fuller symphonic sound will be great in a nice sized theater setting. I must admit I am not very familiar with Atrocity but from all accounts they should deliver a powerful dose of metal the way only Euro bands seem to be able to do. Having never seen these bands before , I would love the opportunity.
Congratulations Steve you have won a ticket to this show, please stay tuned for the full details which will show as a comment from me.
