The Details: The Black Star Riders are the next step in the musical legacy that was the great Thin Lizzy and the band features members of that legendary band in their lineup including Scott Gorham. Their debut album is called “All Hell Breaks Loose” and it’s on one of our favorite labels of them all (Nuclear Blast Records) so I think that it’s a good thing. I’ve heard the album before and it really rocks and that makes it all the more awesome to offer up a contest for our readers to attend their NYC show at B.B. King Blues Club. I love free stuff, don’t you?
When and Where: Tuesday, June 17th @ B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St. NYC)
To Participate: Give me three reasons why you want to see this show and just give me something good to be sure you win me over. I’ll be picking from the submissions and replying directly to their comment to let them know they won. Please only enter once as all these comments are moderated so do not post immediately. Good luck and be aware that this is for a single ticket per winner also.
Restrictions: All PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our site and blog readers, Facebook fans and Twitter followers but that being said, please know that we are always looking for the new winners first. Feel free to enter but if you just won something the chances are less likely but you never know, so do please take the chance. Any Guest and Anonymous submissions will not be honored.

I’d love to see this show because:
1. I’ve never seen Thin Lizzy before and this is the closest I’m ever going to get.
2. Their music/videos are “kick ass” so it’s likely that their live show will be even better.
3. I loved Jimmy DeGrasso when he was in Y&T. I think it’s great he’s now with Black Star Riders.
4. Who else but PiercingMetal.com would have a contest like this? I’m not trying to kiss-ass, but if it will help, lol, so be it. But seriously, you do have the best contests/reviews/articles. Your work speaks for itself.
LOL well, I was not going to let any a$$ kissing jade me anyway because I sure know how many awesome contests we get here at the PiercingMetal.com HQ and its so amazing to put real fans in the room for them. That being said, congrats on winning a ticket to this show on Tuesday night. Please stay tuned for the details on how you claim this at the venue that night.
Thin Lizzy was a great band and seeing members of the band performing with a new album is reason #1 why I would want to go. I also love that the band is respectful of Phil and changed the name but still kept the Thin Lizzy sound. My third reason is that I have never seen Thin Lizzy and really like the new album that Black Star Riders put out.
Works for me Laura, so congrats you are going to see the Black Star Riders on Tuesday at B.B. King’s. Please stay tuned to the comments for the details from me on how you claim this that evening.
Hi,
Its Niklas, the guy from Germany you met at special edition. And here are the reasons we (me and my three friends) have to have tickets:
1. Between all the broadsway shows we have to see a decent piece of culture at least once during our stay.
2. That would be the biggest act of american hospitality we have encountered here.
3. Metal is my religion! I need to go worship!
Hey Niklas it was so great to meet you and your friends at the convention and how to best represent the NYC music scene as one of its voices than by saying “Congratulations Man, you and all those three friends are going to see this rocking show by Black Star Riders on Tuesday night at B.B. King’s. I will be posting the full details in the comments so do stay tuned. This is going to rock and you will surely go home to Germany being able to speak of a good time.
1. Thin Lizzy. Saw the other versions, haven’t seen this permutation.
2. Want to see what they have to offer outside Thin Lizzy to make a new name worthwhile.
3.Scott Gorham
I hear you Tom, I only ever saw Thin Lizzy once before and that was long after Phil had gone but I am sure excited about new music from this band so congrats as you have won a ticket to see Black Star Riders at B.B. King Blues Club on Tuesday. Stay tuned for details on how to claim it at the show.
