The Details: New York City are you prepared for a night of monsters unleashed? Are you strong enough of stomach to withstand the terrors from a foreign land? Do you have the stones to stand before the mighty Lordi as he gazes down upon you with intense scrutiny before devouring you whole? If you gave a rousing “YES” to any of these questions, then you are sure going to love the appearance of Lordi as he returns to NYC with a show at the beautiful Stage 48 venue. Thanks to the awesome promoters over at the club, some of the PiercingMetal elite will be able to enjoy this show for absolutely free. It’s time to be afraid of monsters once more. Read on. If you dare……

When and Where: Thursday, February 23th at Stage 48 (605 48th Street, NYC). 6:30 doors 8pm show.

To Participate: It’s been a very long time since Mr. Lordi brought his garish band over to our shores and that means a lot of people might not have had any proper exposure to their brand of musical mayhem. I am going to keep my itinerary to three things and ask you to just line out three reasons that you wish to go to this show. They should be sufficient enough to convince me on why you seek an audience with Mr. Lordi as he doles out the destructive tuneage. As always if you feel like impressing me you can even add a fourth (but no more). Make them good. I’ll be picking from the best submissions and letting them know right under their comment gird yourself for the things that go bump in the night and try your luck at this one. The contest will run until the night before the show or when supplied tickets are all utilized. Please review the guidelines below before entering and if you want to see what you are in store for please click THIS LINK to see some of the photos from earlier appearances.

– Enter only enter once. The comments are moderated and will not appear immediately after submission.
– Number them for ease of knowing if you followed the instructions or not if I’ve asked for a list.
– Please enter your full real name in the comment form along with an email address that you can be reached at if you win. This is necessary for listing purposes. Please do NOT put this information in the comment itself out of privacy concerns.
– Only enter if you can and will attend the show should you win and it’s logistically possible for you to do so. Essentially if you live a couple of hundred miles away we don’t think you’re coming here for a show in NYC.
– Subscribe to the comments and check back to see the responses so you know if you won or not.
– Make sure you are entering a NEW comment and not replying to another contestant’s entry as that makes notifying you difficult should you be marked as a winner.

Restrictions: PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers and our social networking supporters so make sure you like the Facebook Page, follow the Twitter or Instagram of the website and keep telling friends to join in on the party. We tend to watch for new submissions first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. Of course, we still encourage all to respond because you never know just how many tickets we are offering and when that last cycle of new responders had come in. Anonymous or Guest submissions will not be approved. This is for a single ticket only and no plus ones can be provided. Any winners of our most recent Geoff Tate contest need not apply.

If You Win This Contest: If you are marked as one of the winners for this contest, here is how to claim the ticket. On the night of the show go to the venue box office and ask for the House Guest List. Please bring proper identification (driver’s license, passport, NYC ID card) and your name will be checked off that list for you to enter. You will not receive a ticket at this show. If you encounter any difficulty, please politely ask for an onsite manager and cite how this contest was done in coordination with venue marketing and PiercingMetal.com. You can also expect an email to the provided address you submit in your entry reminding you of the win so make sure that @piercingmetal.com is listed as a safe domain to receive notes from.

Please bear in mind that non-contest winners can purchase a ticket via THIS LINK.

  1. 1. 2006, Eurovision. Almost every Russian was watching and we were in for a show. You could say we were in for a Hard.Rock. Hallelujah!! These guys are just a great band all around.
    2. The Monsterican Dream is a hard rock staple. Blood Red Sandman is still one of my most played songs.
    3. I have my first midterm on Thursday and this would be an amazing way to end the day!

    1. That works for me Ben. Congratulations on winning a ticket to see Lordi at Stage 48. Please refer to the part of the contest marked “If You Win This Contest” for all the details. Good luck on your test.

  2. 1. I was introduced to the Band only recently by a friend and it got me very curious how this Little Big Monster Band has been escaped me for so long?
    2. Their Stage Show is a spectacle according the the recent Show reviews
    3. After seen their picture I thought it to be a Gwar clone but its not a Gwar clone at all. Their Musical roots lie firmly in the 1980s Metal. Thats something I still listen to even though I was just a kid in the eighties.
    4. A once in a Decade opportunity to see the band in Usa as they rarely play over here!!

    1. That works for me Kelly. Congratulations on winning a ticket to see Lordi at Stage 48. Please refer to the part of the contest marked “If You Win This Contest” for all the details.

  3. 1. To be honest, I have never heard of this band. One of the reasons Piercingmetal is such an important site is that it exposes its readers to new bands. I have now listened to some songs (The Riff, Hard Rock Hallelujah to name two great ones). Now I’m a fan and would like to see them.

    2. I think you can have cool stage theatrics without there being a need to be compared to earlier bands. This band is unique with a great hard rock / heavy keyboard sound.

    3. We want Finnish bands to keep coming back to the U.S. and show support. It’s very expensive for them to tour here. I’ve yet to see a Finnish metal / hard rock show where I was disappointed.

    Kippis!

    1. Well Jimmy you should know that flattery doesn’t get you anywhere with this site even though we sure to appreciate it. Oh by the way congrats on winning one of our tickets to see the mighty Lordi this coming Thursday night at Stage 48. Please refer to the part of the contest marked “If You Win This Contest” since the full details are lined out there.

  4. 1. I remember seeing Lordi during the free Ozzfest in 2007, they put on a great show, I like that they play in monster costumes.

    2. As you said, Lordi haven’t been to these shores in a long time, so it would be cool to see them again, after 10 years.

    3. I never saw Lordi on a smaller stage, so i’m looking forward to check them out live at Stage 48, which I heard is a great venue as well.

  5. Daniel I am going to keep this brief and to the point, congrats on winning the final ticket we had to giveaway for the Lordi show tomorrow. Please refer to the part of the contest marked “If You Win This Contest” since the full details are lined out there.

  6. Alright my Legions of Monsters, this fiendish little freebie has ended. No more submissions can be honored unless you wish to offer up your soul to the darkness bwah ha ha ha haaaaaaa!!!! All of the relevant “need to know” stuff about getting into the show are lined out in the “If You Win This Contest” part of the post. I’ll be at the show as well doing our journalistic thing and documenting the resurgence of these Metal Monsters. So if you see me please say hello.
