So What Is “I Am Scarecrow”???? Glad you asked, check this out.

“I Am SCARECROW” is a Hard Rock stage performance written, produced and created by SCARECROW lead vocalist John Blaze. The one hour show combines original music as well as some AC/DC, Alice Cooper and Guns and Roses favorites. The stage production has a Zombie Master of Ceremony named Rampart (Played by Hanz) who introduces the SCARECROW (AKA The Butcher Played by John Blaze) and narrates the performance by introducing the various song titles.

There is a high level theme of murder and mystery that accompanies the hard rock music. It’s a “Hedwig” meets “Rocky Horror” fun night out for all ages over 16. The music is supported by an all-star musician lineup that includes Mark “The Animal” Mendoza on Bass (Twisted Sister) and Viper Violinist Mark Wood (Trans-Siberian Orchestra). This I Am SCARECROW performance at the Elektra Theater inside the old Times Scare location is going to be a “Live Showcase” performance. It will be videotaped for future residency at the Elektra Theatre for the upcoming 2016 Halloween season.

So put on your Rock and Roll best outfit, apply lots of hairspray and come join the cast on this mischievous evening. \m/

When and Where: Saturday, February 6th at Times Scare NYC (669 8th Ave, New York, NY) 9pm showtime.

To Participate:
As this is our very first contest for the 2016 year I will make it easy on you. Tell me three things that frighten you and I don’t mean that make you go “brrrrr” on a warm summer day. I mean tell me the things that make your heart beat faster and faster and that make you jump out of your skin at the slightest notion of it. I have a few tickets to give away for this one and will be selecting those who’s fears give me the heebie jeebies as well. Winners will be notified directly below their submission. Here are some guidelines. This is for a single ticket only with no exceptions. If you cannot attend without a guest then please know in advance that we cannot provide one and you should bypass this giveaway.

– Enter only enter once. The comments are moderated and will not appear immediately after submission.
– Number them for ease of knowing if you followed the instructions or not if I’ve asked for a list.
– Please enter your full real name in the comment form along with an email address that you can be reached at if you win. This is necessary for listing purposes. Please do NOT put this information in the comment itself out of privacy concerns.
– Only enter if you can and will attend the show should you win and it’s logistically possible for you to do so. Essentially if you live a couple of hundred miles away we don’t think you’re coming here for a show in NYC.
– Subscribe to the comments and check back to see the responses so you know if you won or not.
– Make sure you are entering a NEW comment and not replying to another contestant’s entry as that makes notifying you difficult should you be marked as a winner.

Bring it on as this one will close by noon on Friday 2/5 at noon or when allotment has been depleted.

Restrictions: All of the PiercingMetal contests are open to our loyal readers, Facebook Page likers and Twitter Followers but that being said we are still looking for the new names first. Don’t let that stop you from entering of course but we do keep track based on the overall demand for this stuff at this point. We want EVERYONE to have a chance to enjoy a show on the provider and PiercingMetal but if you just won you will likely not have a chance for this one. Please note that Anonymous or Guest comments while approved will not be eligible to win and readers that won recently will not qualify for a win on this one.

If You Win This Contest: If you are marked as one of the winners for this contest, here is how to claim the ticket. On the night of the show go to the venue box office and say you are on the performers guest list based on this contest. Please bring proper identification (driver’s license, passport, NYC ID card) and your name will be checked off that list for you to enter. If you encounter any difficulty, please politely ask for an artist representative and cite how this contest was done in coordination with him. You can also expect an email to the provided address reminding you of the win so make sure that @piercingmetal.com is listed as a safe domain to receive notes from.

  1. Call me silly, but I’m afraid of the dark. Just the thought of walking through the woods or any place desolate at night by myself conjures up all sorts of “Friday the 13th” scenarios all while Iron Maiden’s “Fear of the Dark” goes through my head. Forget bears and coyotes, I find people the scariest of all.

    1. Works for me, congratulations Lisa, prepare to be spookified with “I Am Scarecrow” on Saturday night. Please refer to the “If You Win This Contest” section of the posting for the full details.

  2. I absolutely am scared to death of Michael Meyers. The thought of a crazy kid killing his sister, growing up, and then killing people after he escapes terrifies me. I am also afraid of dark places. Not being able to see and hearing noises makes my mind think of all sorts of things (Michael Meyers, the boogeyman, etc) The third thing that scares me is the fact that there are people in this world who are capable of heinous acts and cause harm to other people and animals. The nice guy next door could be a raging lunatic who keeps bodies buried in the basement.

    1. That makes me glad he is a creature of creative but demented minds. I hope at least. Congrats Laura you will be sitting nervously at “I Am Scarecrow” on Saturday night. Please refer to the “If You Win This Contest” section of the posting for the full details.

  3. Okay, the time for this contest has come to its end so no additional submissions will be considered. Congratulations once again to Lisa and Laura for their contributions. Please refer to the “If You Win This Contest” part of the posting to know the full on details. Have a great and creepy time. I will be there as well somewhere and looking to sneak up on some unsuspecting readers at the most alarming of moments bwa ha ha ha ha …….
