While this “PiercingMetal Musings” blog aspect of the PiercingMetal reviews site might be a bit over a year old by now, I am not sure that everyone who finds us is aware of just how much we love the superhero movies when we get them and of course the brightly colored comic books that brought these characters to life for many of us in the first place. “The Dark Knight Rises” is apparently going to be the final chapter in the series of films that come from Christopher Nolan with “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight”. The first “teaser” clip is below along with some casting and premise. I will come back at the close to discuss. Let’s go.

The Plot: Eight years after the Joker’s reign of anarchy, Batman, with the help of the enigmatic Catwoman, is forced from his exile to save Gotham City from the brutal guerrilla terrorist Bane.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman
Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth

PiercingMetal Thoughts: With this clip we didn’t really get too much but that is often the way that a teaser clip will go. I will hold any thoughts about this for the time being since I am pretty sure there will be a few trailers for this one. It is a Batman film after all and will end the apparent trilogy that Mr. Nolan has given us. Too bad that I didn’t think to start this side of my fence back when “The Dark Knight” was released since it might have been some good attention. When “Batman Begins” came out the site was brand-spanking new and I wasn’t sure what I was doing at all. Anyway, please stay tuned for any additional trailers for this film when they come to light.
