Earlier today, the nominations for the 72nd Academy Awards (aka “The Oscars”) were announced and while you can peruse the full list that was posted on “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” by clicking HERE – I’m using this post to celebrate the “11” nominations that the “Joker” film received. It’s a great day to be a fan of Geek Culture stuff. Take a look.

We’ve posted a number of items about the film already which you can examine HERE in the event that you didn’t get to see it yet. It made just over $1 billion dollars at the box office and has just recently been released on home video DVD and Blu-ray. I’ve a link for you to order it down below if you are interested.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So I just wanted to add that I really, really enjoyed this film. I am still hoping for a properly connected DC Universe of films and while they do release some, there is a sense that they want to move away from this at Warner Brothers and just give us standalone films. This was a compelling release and while I had some issues with it, I would purchase it on Blu-ray. Let’s hope it brings home a few of The Oscar trophies. I will be back to share which ones if that comes to pass. Stay tuned and now its back onto the everything else we do.
