Though I’d seen the band W.A.S.P. numerous times back in the heyday, it was only back in 2004 at the Starland Ballroom and 2005 at the Starland Ballroom that I managed to do it for the purpose of helping to rally the charge in your mind. Late yesterday, I noticed an announcement on the bands Official Facebook about a 2020 World Tour that will celebrate their earliest works (some of my favorite stuff as well). Read on down below the electrifying poster.
The Press Release:
W.A.S.P. are proud to announce…the “1984 TO HEADLESS” – 2020 WORLD TOUR
“1984 to Headless”, is the name of W.A.S.P.’s 2020 World Tour, and it is a celebration of “Hits from the Band’s First 4 Albums”!
The 1st Self-titled Album, that in some countries was called ‘Winged Assassins’, featuring songs from that now classic record, ‘I Wanna Be Somebody’ and ‘L.O.V.E. Machine’, to the 2nd Album: “The Last Command”, along with “Inside the Electric Circus”, to the iconic Masterpiece, “The Headless Children”.
These hits from the first 4 Albums have never been performed together, “LIVE”, as they will be in this most special show, and will NEVER BE REPEATED EVER AGAIN!!
So join us, as we take you BACK… To Where it All Started:… to “1984 to Headless”!!! More dates to be added soon!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As you might have noticed there isn’t a single US date to be found on this very healthy run of shows so let’s hope that the proclamation about “more dates coming soon” actually features something for us to be a part of their Metal madness once again. I’m proud to have called myself a W.A.S.P. fan since the first EP “Animal (F**k Like A Beast)” was released and recall actually getting my copy at a place called Bondy’s in NYC. It was a block away from the famous J&R Music World and while the latter company had only closed up shop a few years ago, Bondy’s had been gone for decades. Still a memory for me, and makes me all the more hungry for some live W.A.S.P. I’ll be keeping tabs on any announcements from their camp so stay tuned for any of that as it comes along. I’ll close up by asking what you think about this tour and if you’d ever seen the group in action before. Chime in down below in the comments section and I will see you next time around.
