The shared universe with the classic Universal Monster properties might have fallen by the wayside but the first official trailer for the now standalone film “The Invisible Man” is ready for consumption. Now you see him and now….you don’t…..take a look.

The Premise:
After her abusive ex-boyfriend commits suicide, naïve Cecilia begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her former boyfriend is not actually dead as she had thought. (c/o Universal Pictures)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I watched this trailer a few times before typing my closing editorial and have to say that this does look like a good and suspenseful horror film. Sure it would have been nice to see all of these things connected in some sense but with the mess that was made of the “Dark Universe”, I guess it was too much work. Using the classic character as a manipulating sociopath is definitely a different angle and this might be a good one when it opens up in early 2020. What did you think of the trailer?
