Well hello again my friends, I am back to discuss the Universal Pictures Horror/Comedy “Freaky” with you once again. When we last met it was to showcase the Official Trailer (seen HERE) and now they have released a clip called “Slaughterhouse”. That sounds pretty dramatic don’t you think? I know I do and after you see this one you can examine the provided premise and the casting before my always wisdom laden closing editorial thoughts. Let’s go.
The Premise: Tormented high school student, Millie Kessler, becomes the newest target of Barney Garris, an infamous serial killer known as the Blissfield Butcher, during her senior year. When the killer’s magic dagger causes her to swap bodies with him, Millie discovers she has only a day to reverse the switch or else remain trapped as a middle-aged murderer hunted by the city, while the real killer – in her body – targets her classmates at Homecoming.
Vince Vaughn as Barney Garris/Millie Kessler
Kathryn Newton as Millie Kessler/Barney Garris
Katie Finneran as Paula Kessler
Celeste O’Connor as Nyla
Misha Osherovich as Josh
Uriah Shelton as Booker
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Clever stuff for sure and I liked this clip as much as the first one. Now this film is set to open in November and while there are some releases opening up to limited capacity, I will NOT be heading to the theater to see this. Right now I am not mentally or physically “there” yet to join in on the regular aspects of life that I always enjoyed. Call me cautious or call me crazy, I am just not willing to risk exposure to this virus just yet. Sure I am used to wearing a mask at this point but to take it down each and every time I want a handful of popcorn doesn’t sound like too much fun to me but I digress. What did you readers think about this clip? Are you considering seeing this one? Chime in down below in the comments section and I will see you next time around. I guess its going to be a quiet Halloween this year and that sucks since its on the weekend this year. Oh well. Ciao for now.
