Longtime visitors to the world of PiercingMetal know that we’ve been in attendance and covering the Toy Fair trade show for several years now. However, if this is the first time that you’re hearing this I look forward to having you search through the older posts from across the years. Now, after pausing during the 2024 year after holding it in the Fall of 2023, the Toy Fair is back to being held in the wintertime and will be back at the Javits Center during the first quarter of 2025. I’m excited to once again share the news that I will again be returning as a member of the accredited press after receiving the news in an email only a short time ago. The exciting approval finds me once again fashioning a special graphic for the occasion.

“Dear Ken Pierce: Thank you for registering for Toy Fair 2023, held September 30 – October 3, 2023, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, NY. Your media credentials have been approved”.

It’s without question that I am excited even though its still about four months away. That’s based on this being possibly the biggest of the trade shows that I pitch PiercingMetal media interest in much like the New York Comic Con is the biggest convention that we are always looking to attend. More and more we are finding that events like this are returning to the level of operation that they did before the dreaded pandemic took over. As things like this come back, so does the interest in every single media outlet in the region and that limits the amount of credentials to give out. While most of you know that in addition to posts being done here, when we do place a number of items on the “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” website since they apply better. To tie it all together every single post on each side of the creative coin continues to be shared over on the Ken Pierce Media branding. When I did this kind of post in 2023 I mentioned that broadcasting approvals of this kind of news was never really my thing and instead I’d mention that the event was now happening and that we were heading there to bring you readers into the mix. Yet after watching how many of the more arrogant Influencers acted or those Big Talkers who we meet at every turn were doing this kind of post, I felt that it was high time to do them myself in a less boastful fashion. My broadcasts are aimed at raising the excitement level about the upcoming happenings for a branding that you have come to trust over the years. Next year the PiercingMetal site will reach its 20th year and its always been done with positivity and integrity and that is not going to change to “impress anyone”. While its far too early to know how the trade show will be covered, I can tell you that almost everything is by appointment and if you don’t get Company A, there isn’t going to be any coverage of their offerings. I tend to focus on the Adult Collectors with this one or the Kidults as they brand us with superhero, kaiju and music related properties. I am always looking to find bands that I enjoy like KISS, Misfits and other groups with identities that are fun to talk about.

I’ve said before that while Toy Fair is a lot of fun to explore, its a mountain of creative work as well and with this being a sales event its super-duper professional level happening. You folks at home can let me know the kinds of items that you find most interesting to learn about and if I get appointments at the companies that do those things you will have some content.
