The Toy Fair for 2023 was a great return to form for the massive toy industry trade show and as a media attendee for more than a decade now, I was so happy that it had returned after the pandemic pause. In addition to the photographic company recaps and all of the social media reveals including our Official Instagram Takeover, a number of exhibitor overviews were done for the Official PiercingMetal YouTube Channel. While these videos are resident on the Channel itself, I’ve compiled them into a series of posts to expand the events presence on the website. Our second installment begins with an in-depth look at Super7, one of my favorite brands of late.

Truth be told Super7 has been pushing the envelope with things that I like for a few years now. As a music fan I love that they did Iron Maiden “Eddie” action figures under their ReAction style and even their amazing GI Joe stuff and Godzilla. If they do anything KISS related I am going to be in trouble for sure. There were a lot of new awesome surprises found and you will see them all in this booth overview. I joked about needing a second income for some of the things I like and I feel after seeing a lot of the upcoming Super7 stuff that I would just be giving them my credit card to make it all easier. Next on the adventure, the McFarlane Toys booth.

Checking Out McFarlane Toys Excellence @ Toy Fair 2023

McFarlane Toys seems to have exploded into something much larger than I ever imagined based on all of the amazing licenses they have secured. Since the last time we saw them, back at the 2020 Toy Fair, they are now doing pretty much all of the DC Comics stuff that we used to find at DC Direct. I’m talking about all the assorted superhero action figures and wow did they have plenty on display. They also have a Disney and Avatar license and you will now see what I saw from the comfort of home with some of my yammering to keep you company. As you hear me say there were some items that I couldn’t showcase or really speak about and since Todd offered up some KISS action figures a number of years ago I am hoping that something similar comes to pass once again. Remember that the band is winding down their last-ever tour and shall soon say “Thank you Goodnight” for good. Sadly, we missed seeing Todd McFarlane the man himself. He had left the show the day before based on meetings and it was a bummer since he is always great to connect with at Toy Fair. The next focus in this installment is Yolopark and it was my first time seeing them.

The booth for Yolopark was very small in size but surely loaded with all sorts of “Transformers action figures, miniatures and large-scale statues. Personally speaking, I like my action figures between 6″ and 8” tall with the exception of the smaller GI Joe ones from my youth. Yolopark had some awesome Optimus Prime and Megatron figures displayed and I am going to look into how to get those for my shelf. Back in the day I did have an original Optimus Prime but I never purchased the Megatron and I don’t know why. Cool stuff here though for sure and that is going to bring me to the end of this installment.
