The Toy Fair for 2023 was a great return to form for the massive toy industry trade show and as a media attendee for more than a decade now, I was so happy that it had returned after the pandemic pause. In addition to the photographic company recaps and all of the social media reveals including our Official Instagram Takeover, a number of exhibitor overviews were done for the Official PiercingMetal YouTube Channel. While these videos are resident on the Channel itself, I’ve compiled them into a series of posts to expand the events presence on the website. First up is a look at all of the cool “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” action figures being released by The Loyal Subjects.

Believe it or not, I’ve been a fan of the Turtles since very early in their comic book history. I didn’t manage to secure the first printing of the first issue but I kept up almost immediately after it was on the racks for several years. I love the different characters that The Loyal Subjects are bringing to the table for this franchise and only hope that they do some more cool music figures. I just loved their KISS ones and think they should look into Misfits, Motley Crue and others along those lines. Now speaking of music, this is the video for Knucklebonz. They truly make some awesome resin sculptures.

Killer statues for sure and there are so many that I liked in this showcase. As most readers of the site know, we just love everything KISS and their KISS statues are exemplary. Though I’d love a complete set of any of those I just don’t currently have the financial means or the space for them at this point in time. Thankfully, I was never a statue guy but like I said, KISS often decides what I like more than I don’t LOL. The next exhibitor focus is Kotobukiya who we always make sure to visit.

The folks at Kotobukiya have long impressed me with their stylish sculpts. Between them and the KnuckleBonz folks, I might need to get a second gig to have some surplus cash and maybe build a display case of some of my very favorite statues. The bisoujo stuff is stunning but again they can get pricy if this becomes your passion. That’s going to wrap up this first installment of these compiled videos but don’t worry there are more to come so please stay tuned.
