Tonight: “The Walking Dead” Season 9 on AMC (10/7/2018)

As you read this alert/post, I’m still deep in the Halls Of Javits at the 2018 NY Comic Con. It’s the final day of the event and while I am running on fumes at this point, there are still photos to take and cosplayers to add to our Official Instagram. I’m here to remind you that tonight will begin the 9th season of the AMC networks blockbuster hit of a show “The Walking Dead”. The other day the network shared the first five minutes of the broadcast and I’m adding that down below since I could not address it at the time. Let’s watch.

As its been widely reported this season will mark the end of the tenure for Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohen (Rick and Maggie respectively). Let’s take a look at the dramatic poster, light premise and the massive ensemble of a cast.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m still following the show but haven’t read the comics in quite some time. I still need to pick up copies of the second and third compendium edition so if you have these and feel like gifting them to me I will not say no LOL. Anyway, so nine seasons of “The Walking Dead”, wow isn’t that something. Part of me wonders how it will do without those main cast members and we’ve already lost Carl which veered off course from the original source material I am told. Having not been that far into the original mythology I am in the unaware. So that being said, I will be tuning in, or at least have the DVR prepped to record it. In the event you aren’t going to be home and absolutely love the show, then you will need to stay off of your social networking because the spoiler folks have gotten ridiculous. It seems that they no longer wait for the show to end to line out their distaste for this or that but now its almost as soon as it happens which I feel is a bit of a dick move. Perhaps I will have some fun this season and post status updates like “Oh no, you killed Rick already” or the same for Maggie, Abraham or Glenn. Just kidding and those last two were a test as their already long gone in terms of the series. What do you think? Are you excited for this season or think that the show has finally run its course. Over the summer I decided to pick up with “Fear The Walking Dead” once more and I am about 10 episodes behind in the story but think it had gotten a lot better than I ever expected it would. Alright – you readers take care now and stay tuned for the barrage of NY Comic Con stuff.
