Moving like a bolt of lightning comes DC Comics’ own The Flash whose second season premiere airs tonight on the CW Network. Check out the poster and the overall show premise and then we can discuss a little further.

The Premise: The Flash is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe. The series follows Barry Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin, a crime scene investigator who gains super-human speed, which he uses to fight criminals, including others who have also gained superhuman abilities. As of May 19, 2015, 23 episodes of The Flash have aired, concluding the first season. Thanks Wiki.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I cannot say how fantastic I thought the first season of “The Flash” was. It was interesting and exciting and not only offered up your storyline resolution for each episodes dilemma, it at the same time kept building up a larger plot that kept you anxious for the next episode to air. Since the show is still relatively new to the viewers and many might be hoping for it on Netflix or video release I will keep the spoilers away but say you are in for quite the ride…..or is is a run considering we are discussing the scarlet speedster. Anyway, I am so excited about this new season because some of the trailers keep lauding that “Zoom Is Coming” which means Professor Zoom is going to make an appearance and there has been talk about the Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick appearing which was showcased on the poster you see below. Clearly this second season of “The Flash” is going to bring us into alternate worlds and timelines and showcase hopefully a host of other awesome characters. One of my friends keeps pining for the Mirror Master and The Shade to make appearances in the Rogues Gallery so perhaps he will get his wish as well. I say full speed ahead with this series and I wonder what you think about it or have you been missing out. Fill me in down there in the comments.
