The Premise: Snowpiercer is set in 2021, seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, and follows the remnants of humanity who took shelter on a perpetually moving luxury train built by billionaire Wilford, consisting of 1001 carriages that circles the globe 2.7 times per year. The constant motion of the train provides energy and prevents the passengers from freezing as well. Since the catastrophe, the train’s population has become rigidly separated by class, caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources. The show explores issues of class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival. (c/o Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I am pretty sure that I mentioned along the way that I had enjoyed this shows debut season and I was surprised at this since I didn’t even see the original source film. Sure this is a different take on it but the larger premise was the same. Not sure how I missed it but I guess as the pandemic seems to be continuing, I will get a lot more television and movies under my best. I am curious to see where this heads and I have enjoyed a large bit of the cast so my DVR is already set since I don’t want to miss anything. What about you readers? Will you be tuning in to TNT for the second season? Chime in down below in the comments and I will see you next time. Please be safe out there, we still have a ways to go with this terrible scourge and I want all of our readers to be okay.
