Tonight: “Krypton” Series Premiere on SyFy Network (3/21/2018)

I’ve talked about the upcoming SyFy Network series “Krypton” a few times here on PiercingMetal and now we are at the day of the first season premiere. There’s a sweet official poster now, so that is included for you below along with the premise, casting and some closing editorial thoughts for those of you who might just be joining us here on the website. Let’s take a look.

The Premise: According to IGN, Krypton will follow Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El; whose family, the House of El, has been ostracized and shamed. Seg-El fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.

The Cast/Characters:
Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El
Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod
Ian McElhinney as Val-El
Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex
Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod
Rasmus Hardiker as Kem
Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex
Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em
Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange
Blake Ritson as Brainiac
Paula Malcomson as Charys
Additionally, Seg’s father Ter-El, Doomsday and Hawkgirl will also appear in the television series.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve made sure to program this on my DVR because I want to give it at least a few episodes to see if I like what they are doing. The trailers looked interesting which I’ve already mentioned in an earlier trailer post. I almost forgot to post about this premiere tonight because my head was still rocking from last nights incendiary Judas Priest show. I’m actually running out to the SiriusXM Studios now to be a “fly on the wall” for one of their interview sessions with the band. These are thanks to the contests they have for subscribers and that’s a story for another blog post. You’ll have to check your local listings for “Krypton” but it is on the SyFy Network and you can lock it on care of one of the apps that your cable provider has for you to use. Are you planning on watching? Let me know down in the comments section below.
