Truth be told when I learned that a prequel show to Superman history was being done I was rather skeptical. That being said I still programmed the DVR and really enjoyed the take that was being offered up on the Man Of Steel’s prehistory. The Premise: Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El, whose family, the House of El, has been ostracized and shamed. Seg fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.

Additionally, Doomsday briefly appears in the sixth, ninth and tenth episodes through CGI and it was announced that Nightwing and Flamebird will appear in the 2nd season.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve got the DVR programmed for the series once again so I don’t miss anything and while I expected to see the return of both Brainiac and more about Doomsday, the appearance of Lobo was a surprise. Sure The Main Man fought Superman in the comics a number of times but to find him way back during these times was a curiosity. Will you members of the Geek Republic be tuning in?
