Musician Dave Grohl has taken his band The Foo Fighters on the road for an interesting documentary (err “ROCKUMENTARY”) series where they will be making stops across the country as a part of a new HBO Original Series. Now that the PiercingMetal website is 100% WordPress and our “Musings” Blog a part of the regular content being served up, I’ll be showcasing a lot of stuff like this to mix it up. The Premise: Sonic Highways commemorates the Foo Fighters 20th anniversary by documenting the eight-city recording odyssey that produced their latest, and eighth, studio album.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I am a casual fan of the music of the Foo Fighters, I am going to watch this series but not be tuning in each and every week to see where they are stopping next. I’m most likely going to sit and watch a few episodes at a time and get done with it in two sittings or so. My dance card has too much going on at the moment but that will not stop me from alerting you to each new episode as a reminder. Are you diehards for the band enjoying it so far?
