Tonight: “Fear The Walking Dead” on AMC (4/15/2018)

Tonight, immediately following the season finale of “The Walking Dead” will air the fourth series premiere of “Fear The Walking Dead”. This prequel show is now a bit of a companion series since they are getting closer to being connected than they ever were before. Here’s the season poster along with some show premise and cast mentions.

The Premise: Set initially in Los Angeles, California and then later in Mexico, the series follows a dysfunctional, blended family composed of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark, her English teacher fiancé Travis Manawa, her daughter Alicia, her drug addict son Nick, Travis’s son from a previous marriage, Chris, Chris’s mother Liza Ortiz, and others who join their group at the onset of the apocalypse. They must reinvent themselves, learning new skills and adopting new attitudes in order to survive as civilization collapses around them.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m super behind in the doings on this show if my DVR is correct. As it stands I think I need to watch about “12” episodes so I will not add much else here. I was finding myself interested in it and then just got caught up in the ten or so regular network superhero shows. A lot of my friends who follow “The Walking Dead” lost interest in this show awhile ago and while I did as well at the onset, one day I felt like binging a season and wouldn’t you know, I ended up enjoying the difference that was going on. Remember the outbreak is still rather new so its on the interesting side to see people with more means of survival just becoming like wheat to the scythe. If you have given up on this, I can honestly say to give it another go with the On Demand or Netflix (which I think its on now as well). I say this because the story does pick up a bit more and according to the recent commercials I’ve seen, the new season will feature Morgan and he is a fan favorite from “TWD”. Will you be tuning in? Or giving it another shot? Let me know down in the comments below.
