Horror fans must be delighted that the anthology series “American Horror Story” is now at its sixth season with “Roanoke”; and I admit that I almost didn’t even see this one coming based on all the other stuff I’ve had to deliver to your table in terms of the Heavy Music scene and our comics and toy coverages from all the conventions. Whew. Are you planning on watching this one? Check your local listings for times and availability for you to program it or catch On Demand and then examine the poster, premise and cast down below.

Plot: Presented as a paranormal documentary series titled My Roanoke Nightmare in the first half of the season, the story follows a married couple whose experiences are reenacted by actors. Shelby and Matt Miller move from Los Angeles, California, to a house in North Carolina following a brutal assault which left Matt temporarily hospitalized and caused Shelby to have a miscarriage. As soon as the couple settles into their new home, located on a farmstead in rural North Carolina where the Roanoke Colony settled after their infamous disappearance, strange and paranormal occurrences begin to haunt them and Matt’s sister, Lee Harris. In the five-episode documentary, Shelby is portrayed by the extravagant English actress Audrey Tindall, Matt by the conceited Dominic Banks and Lee by Monet Tumusiime.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was okay with a lot of the stuff that they did with “Hotel” that last season and admire that they are at least trying to diversify the whole premise. Sticking to one storyline over and over doesn’t work considering how impatient people are nowadays. Though I don’t think we will get any deep details on the lost colony of Roanoke from this horror anthology, perhaps it will inspire some reading and investigation into the matter. That’s good right? What do you think about this proposed tale? Will you be watching? Have you been keeping up on the AHS franchise so far? If not, I think that its finally on Netflix and you can always order past seasons on Amazon.com care of the links that I’ve provided below.
