The moment has arrived once again my friends, yes the New York Comic Con is back and taking over the Halls of an even larger Javits Center once more and its going to be the place to be overwhelmed with all things geek and pop culture related for the next four days. I’ll be in attendance once again and I am super excited about it as its my 14th straight year of doing so in the professional capacity. The safety protocols have subsided for those who were curious and that’s fine by me and while getting a signal out of the event space is usually a hassle, the organizers of New York Comic Con just recently announced they will be offering a new and powerful WiFi signal to their patrons. This will surely need to be strong since last year there were more than 200K people in the venue. In 2022, I shared a lengthy “Convention Guide” to our YouTube but this time around I did a Short clip which you can perfuse by clicking HERE. The Short leads to that original longer video but that clip is a bit outdated at this point. I think this brief gets to the general point fast enough and as I pen these words I wonder what you bring along to events like New York Comic Con. Feel free to let me know in the comments. As you read this you should know that I am actually already heading to the convention in a hope of getting there when the doors open. As soon as I get through their very thorough security and bag check I have to get myself in gear and start exploring. What time do you generally like to get to an event like this? Sometimes earlier is not better since the line to get into the Javits can be incredibly long.

I’m keeping with my usual premise of showcasing the NYCC Official Press Badge that I’ll be wearing and sprucing up its surroundings just a tad bit as well for good measure. Since I didn’t see any of the other badges for the year and since the Press Badge has an Anime program on it, I will venture to guess that all of the other badges are following the theme. I admit that this feels more like something that should be on the Anime NYC badge but truth be told, Anime and Manga are now a very big part of the New York Comic Con as well. I do not know what “Blue Lock” is all about so maybe I will learn something at the convention. So if you are wondering about the overall itinerary here is the blueprint of the plans. As expected I will be taking a lot of photos of pretty much everything. I love to pay mind to the cosplayers because they are the paying public that keeps an event like this happening and growing. If not for them there would be no New York Comic Con. Those photos go to Instagram and website postings so double traction from one image. I hit areas like the new publishers to the main expo floor, the outside trench and especially artist alley. Last year I did “39” videos in total. Most of them were interviews with some being booth overviews. NYCC is the kind of event where I can make a whole lot of content for our YouTube Channel. Our social media platforms will be working overtime so make sure you are following along on these social networks of the Official Instagram for the quick pics, highlights and as they happen observations to the Facebook and Twitter and a running feed over on the Ken Pierce Media Tumblr for those who are still enjoying that medium. There will be plenty of Shorts for YouTube Channel and also our TikTok profile. Please know that our TikTok is branded for the Ken Pierce Media site for a number of reasons. We ask our audience to please be sure that they are subscribing to or following all of our different approaches since the numbers truly count all the more based on the lay of the land and all the Influencers and sponsored creatives out there. With that I will wrap this notice up and say I will see you at the New York Comic Con. It’s go time…
