Though there aren’t any conventions to attend because of the pandemic and this applies for the concerts as well since large-scale gatherings are forbidden, I am glad that we still have a whole of lot comic book and film presentations to share with you in the readership as we continue to ride this terrible storm from the safety of our homes. You might have heard that TNT has given the show “Snowpiercer” a second season and while we’ve months to go before it airs there is a teaser trailer to enjoy below. Check it out.
The Premise: Snowpiercer is set in 2021, seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, and follows the remnants of humanity who took shelter on a perpetually moving luxury train built by billionaire Wilford, consisting of 1001 carriages that circles the globe 2.7 times per year. The constant motion of the train provides energy and prevents the passengers from freezing as well. Since the catastrophe, the train’s population has become rigidly separated by class, caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources. The show explores issues of class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Having watched the first season of the show I can say that it was interesting enough to find me interested in the upcoming second season. I also really liked a lot of the actors involved such as Connelly, Diggs and Hall and now that Sean Bean has arrived at the closing seconds of the finale as the enigmatic Mr. Wilford I am curious to see how this all develops. I figure we still have quite a bit of time to deal with this nasty virus so having a loaded DVR of programming might keep you in the house and off the streets when you don’t have to be there. As you already know there was no New York Comic Con this year and I can’t see any of the other ones that usually happen taking place either so its streaming and broadcast programs for me.
