PiercingMetal Thoughts: I really don’t have a whole lot of editorial banter to add to this one but I am very glad that Ozzy has gotten in as a solo artist along with Foreigner and Peter Frampton. I never really listened to much of the MC5 but they are so often cited as influential so I am good with that. I honestly thought that both Lenny Kravitz and Sinead would have gotten in but they didn’t. Of course I am still shocked and bewildered by things not really Rock going in while bands like Soundgarden, Iron Maiden and Styx haven’t made the cut. Can we start some kind of petition for them to rebrand this institution as “The Music Hall of Fame” once and for all? I truly think that this would be a good idea. Sure, we web-based journalists will have one less thing to complain about but I will be able to get through the day. A rebranding allows a wider gamut and might make it a more interesting place to visit. Chime in down below with your own thoughts as I’d love to hear from you. Until we meet again. Cheers.
