It’s been a couple of years since we’ve heard from the guys in the Black Veil Brides since their previous self-titled album and as someone who’s been following them for several years, I was very happy to learn that a brand-new single was being dished out. The song is called “The Outsider” and while its set to appear on their forthcoming album, there has been no actual title of the full body of work at the time of this writing. I gave the tune a listen and here is what I thought about it.

The way that this one begins leads me to believe that it could open the new release but of course who knows this early on. According to what I’ve read, the band is still in the mixing stage for several songs and this one was obviously the first one that was ready for public consumption. The pacing is a steady and a crunching one and it’s not one of the bands speedier tracks as you will find out on your own listen. Biersack sounds great and sings with a completely clear register on this one. There is a rallying chorus that I found myself singing along with after the second listen and I can honestly say that its catchy and a good way to say “welcome back guys” to the Black Veil Brides. The new album is supposed to be released in the early part of the coming 2017 year and if we learn of additional singles coming out beforehand I shall try to offer up some insight on them.
