The Dark Side Of The Force Manifests for Metal Alliance Tour 2014

“You don’t know the power of The Dark Side” was what I said in my best Darth Vader as I saw the broadcasted post on my Facebook feed about the 2014 Metal Alliance tour which would feature a headlining Behemoth along with support from Goatwhore, 1349, Inquisition and a new name to my Metal mind in Black Crown Initiate. Now this is the kind of Monday morning news that I can really sink my teeth into……check out the poster below.

Tour - Metal Alliance - 2014

Quotes From the Official Press Release: “The Metal Alliance Tour presented by Indie Merch is back for their 4th ferocious year of wrecking heads. Festival organizers Dan Rozenblum and Steve Seabury of High River Entertainment are proud to welcome to American soil the mighty BEHEMOTH as their 2014 headliner. This will be the first time in over a decade that BEHEMOTH will tour North America in support of their new record The Satanist released on April 2nd through Metal Blade Records. The tour will be rounded out by New Orleans natives GOATWHORE, 1349, INQUISITION and the buzz worthy unsigned act BLACK CROWN INITIATE. “This tour is no exception for our love of all things heavy.” states Rozenblum. “This tour is for metal fans by metal fans.” adds Seabury. “this bill explores our appreciation for the dark and black side of metal. Behemoth have been a favorite of ours and we are stoked to have them headline the fourth edition of the Metal Alliance Tour!” continues Rozenblum. The Metal Alliance Tour will make the trek across United States and Canada starting in April and running through the start of May. “We are immensely proud to be headlining the Metal Alliance Tour. It’s a privilege and we’re going to make sure that this tour and “The Satanist” that Behemoth is making an ultimate statement! It has been a long trek from when we landed in US for the first time in 2003. It took us a decade to get to this place we are now. We are coming back, more determined and hungrier than ever, ready to reclaim the throne!” comments Nergal’s about the bands involvement of one of the most anticipated metal tours in years”

So as you see, for the past few years, The Metal Alliance Tour has been breaking down the walls of venues across the country with exciting lineups and shows that are talked about for months after they happen. I thought last year’s event was a show-stopper considering you had Anthrax, Exodus, High On Fire and Shadows Fall working in Metal tandem but this one really will melt your bones. Speaking personally as a fan of that which be heavy, I can tell you that a show delivered by the mighty Behemoth will leave you breathless and dangerously sore if you should be foolish enough to brave the circle pit. It’s been great to have Nergal back to proper performance health after his scary situation a couple of years ago and having seen them during their unrighteous return not too long ago, I can tell you that with some certainty. Now let’s look at who else is performing on this years happening. You cannot go wrong with a direct support slot from Goatwhore who have been impressing their audiences since coming onto the scene back in 1997. To say singer Ben Falgoust is intense on the stage would be an understatement.  I’ve been fortunate enough to see both 1349 and Inquisition a number of times as well and will only say that you will need to fasten your seat belts very early in the evening should you plan on attending one or more of the shows.  The tour dates are below and a means to order tickets is available by clicking the poster above.  I’ll advise that you do that early or risk being shut out on a very intense time. Closing up I just wonder how excited you are about this one.
