A lot has happened since we last saw Superman on The CW Network. Not only is there a brand-new Batwoman, but both Supergirl and Black Lightning will be saying farewell to their respective shows with their most recent seasons. “Superman & Lois” brings the famous DC power couple back to the small screen as married parents and the first trailer is below for you to enjoy. I’ve also included some premise, casting and promotional art. Let’s go.

The Premise: Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane return to Smallville with their sons Jonathan and Jordan, where they are reacquainted with Lana Lang, her husband Kyle Cushing, and their daughter Sarah, when their idyllic life is upended when The Stranger enters their lives.

The Cast and Characters:
Tyler Hoechlin as Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman
Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane
Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent
Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent
Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing
Dylan Walsh as Samuel Lane

PiercingMetal Thoughts: From the looks of this, it seems as though they’ve combined the likes of the “Smallville” series and some of what was done in “Lois and Clark” and added in a heavy dose of family drama and youthful angst. I am not sure what to make of it from the trailer but it seems like a lot of people know that Clark is Superman and that to me has always been a shortcoming of the Arrowverse shows. So many people knew who these characters really were and that never made much sense to me. I will program it into my DVR since why not. I did like Hoechlin quite a bit as Superman when he made some appearances in the Supergirl series and who knows, perhaps his cousin will be doing some cameos here as well. I hope they keep it interesting and as I close this trailer post up I wonder what you think about it. Chime in down below in the comments section. See you next time.
