If you’ve been following the small screen adventures of DC Comics’ “Arrow” and “The Flash” over on the CW Network then I have some exciting news for you as a brand new spinoff series is coming at us entitled “Legends Of Tomorrow” and will air sometime in the Fall of 2015. Take a look at the sneak peak video that was released yesterday along with the brief premise and characters that you can expect to see on the screen.
A Brief Premise: Rip Hunter travels back in time to the present day where he brings together a team of heroes and villains in an attempt to prevent Vandal Savage from destroying the world and time itself. (thanks Wikipedia).
Cast and Characters:
Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/Firestorm
Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/Atom
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter
Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl
Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson
Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave
Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold
PiercingMetal Thoughts: When I first learned that we were going to get a spinoff show from the world of “Arrow” and “Flash” I had assumed it was going to be something for “The Atom” and since I am not all that into this X-O Manowar/Iron Man interpretation of him I dreaded the aspect of this. Now that its been revealed how numerous other heroes will be bounding around the world and in various points in time as a collective out to stop a common threat I am more on board. My hope is that this expands the DC Television Universe even more and gives us other characters and folks swap in and out based on the needs of the storyline. I doubt we will ever see Superman or Batman in this but perhaps they will be referenced in some fashion. It’d definitely compelling to find their using some of The Flash’s Rogues Gallery in the mix along with the new heroes to the screen (Hawkgirl, Rip Hunter etc.). I liked the look of this trailer a whole lot more than the also recently unveiled “Supergirl” first look. To me that other presentation felt like an episode of “Murphy Brown” with super-powers. Now the question remains, can and will The CW Network pick up “Constantine”. NBC recently cancelled that show and it was great. What do you readers think about this one? Will you be setting your DVR to catch it? Let me know in the comments because I would love to hear from you about it.

No idea about the comic story line but this does show some promise. Hopefully they get the large audience to keep it going.
I am looking forward to this show. I already watch Flash, Arrow, and Gotham. I particularly like that Flash and Arrow characters show up in each other’s story lines.
