As a fan of the series of DC Comics superhero shows that air each and every week on The CW Entertainment network, one of the highlights is the crossover that brings these characters together for a unified cause. Some of the highlight crossovers for me was the “Crisis On Earth X” one and of course last year’s “Elseworlds” and now its time for the seeds that were planted in them to manifest in “Crisis On Infinite Earths”. The extended trailer was just revealed and the adventures begin this coming Sunday, December 8th. Take a look.
About The Crossover: “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is the upcoming sixth annual Arrowverse crossover event, featuring episodes of the live-action television series Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. The Supergirl, Batwoman, and The Flash episodes will air in December 2019, while the Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow episodes will air in January 2020. Additionally, events in the Black Lightning episode “The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis”, airing between Batwoman and The Flash, will also tie-in to the crossover. A two-issue comic will also tie into the crossover, featuring characters and concepts not able to appear in the live-action episodes.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have fond memories of the original comic book maxi-series “Crisis On Infinite Earths” which was done as a way to simplify the way too vast DC Universe of characters. It was a daunting affair and a very interesting comic series. If you’ve not yet read that, please consider ordering a copy of the collected edition down below on Amazon.com because its one of those “must have” items in your bookcase if you are a proper geek. I still have the individual issues stored away in a long box and of course this collected volume since its easier to revisit at this point in time. The trailer looks exciting and I’ll be programming the DVR to capture the whole thing. I actually record these shows as my nightlife as a scribe and photographer keeps me running around on nights where I would normally be home to sit and enjoy them. I wonder how this will change the dynamic in some of the shows. Speaking frankly, I would get rid of the world where Supergirl and Black Lightning are and have those heroes and their supporting cast on the Earth where the other shows take place. It will lead to easier integration. I will add that I am slightly sad that nothing from the DC Universe series of shows that have already been streamed is making an appearance. “Titans” was solid and “Doom Patrol” seemed interesting. Closing up I wonder what you readers think about the crossover. Are you watching these shows? Chime in down below in the comments.

I only watch Supergirl. I cannot stand the other shows but now I am forced to due to these crosover’s. I hope they stop this nonsense.
Wow, I have to say that I love the crossovers since its much more like the actual comic books.
