PiercingMetal was on point at the 2021 edition of New York Comic Con and to help celebrate our 11th year of attendance, a series of creator briefs were done at the booths and tables of those who wished to talk about their work. Shot by site founder Ken Pierce with the Canon Powershot, the clips reside on our Official YouTube Channel and have been collected into this post to enhance the larger NYCC Coverage for 2021.

Chapter One: This installment features Fat Guy Inc., CCP Comics, D.E. Night, Smart Pop Books and Stranger Comics.

Well hello there my friends and welcome to the closing narratives from the 2021 New York Comic Con. The event itself has been over for days but in our standard fashion its overall coverage is parsed out to make it easier to digest and also find stuff. If you’ve only just arrived you’ll want to click HERE first to see everything that’s come before in a new tab. This post shines the spotlight on the amazing statues of the XM Studios creatives and I’ll begin with their DC Entertainment themed ones. There is no better hero to start with than Superman.

Hails and Horns my geek-minded readers, you have arrived at the penultimate posting from my adventures at the 2019 New York Comic Con. If you’ve stuck with us from the beginning until now, you are Vikings in my heart and if you are just joining us now then I say “Welcome”. The convention and special features posts that have come before can all be examined by clicking HERE. It will launch a new tab for you to peruse and believe me there is a lot to peruse. My final special feature is a brief one and focused on the XM Studios stuff. Let’s begin with this AMAZING Samurai Eddie. That’s the Official Mascot of Iron Maiden in case you’ve been under a rock all this time.

I’ve a lot of love for this statue of The Joker and I guess you don’t need me to name all these characters.

Exploring New York Comic Con 2018: Day One (Part 1)

The 2019 New York Comic Con began yesterday at the Javits Center and now its time to start sharing the visuals that were snagged on the first day of the event. This would mark the ninth year that PiercingMetal was attending the convention and I would once again be representing this medium as a member of the Pop Culture Press. Those who have enjoyed these narratives over the years will already know how I break up the coverage into a number of chapters with no more than “50” images in every post. I do this to allow for easier digestion and tagging and for those who are dressed in amazing cosplay to be able to find themselves. Once the Day One photos are done its onto Day Two and so on until I pass out from exhaustion. My plan is to hit all four days barring some emergency need of my time so let’s get this party started shall we? I won’t be chiming in on every single photo but only when the need for some text is warranted and before we head into the fray, those attending might want to peruse this handy list of guidelines that I compiled over on “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” – Trust me it will help you out (click HERE). Onward we go.
