Since it was only the other day that we shared the Final Trailer, you might still have “Stranger Things” on your mind and if you didn’t see said trailer just click that highlighted text before continuing on to the news that Season Four is premiering as you read this on the Netflix Streaming Service. While I have yet to watch this series, I did enjoy the trailer and its making me considering a few days of binge-watching to get caught up before the second half premieres in July. Oh yeah, this is only part one of the fourth season. As per our usual practice some of the premise and casting follows the Official Release poster. Check it out.

The Premise: It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

According to what I’ve read, its been three years since the world has gotten episodes of “Stranger Things” and soon enough that craving will be satisfied since the fourth season will be heading our way at the end of May. We had a Teaser Trailer way, way back in 2020 before the pandemic (click the highlighted text to see it) and now at long last comes the Official Trailer. I’ve added some premise and casting for good measure.

We might be celebrating the Independence Day holiday today which marks our last holiday until the end of the summer, but those of us in the Geek Nation are celebrating the return of the world of “Stranger Things” who’s third season is available for streaming in full now. I’ve discussed the season already with the Official Trailer and a bunch of Promotional Posters and if you click those two highlighted texts you will be able to see those items in case you missed them. Believe it or not, I still have not dug into this series but its because I’ve got so many other shows and movies to see along with the concerts and the reading stuff. There is only so much of me to go around but that being said here is the Official Season Poster along with previous seasons premise and casting. Take a look.

The Premise: Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the early 1980s. The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory ostensibly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy, but secretly does experiments into the paranormal and supernatural, including those that involve human test subjects. Inadvertently, they have created a portal to an alternate dimension called “the Upside Down”. The influence of the Upside Down starts to affect the unknowing residents of Hawkins in calamitous ways. The first season begins in November 1983, when Will Byers is abducted by a creature from the Upside Down. His mother, Joyce, and the town’s police chief, Jim Hopper, search for Will. At the same time, a young psychokinetic girl called Eleven escapes from the laboratory and assists Will’s friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, in their own efforts to find Will. The second season is set a year later, starting in October 1984. Will has been rescued, but few know of the details of the events. When it is discovered that Will is still being influenced by entities from the Upside Down, his friends and family learn there is a larger threat to their universe from the Upside Down. The third season is set a few months later, in mid-1985, in the midst of the popularity of the film Back to the Future. Mike and Eleven have developed a relationship, as have Max and Lucas.

If you are a fan of the franchise then this is not news to you but if you are someone like me who while interested has just not been able to get around to it yet it might be an education. That being said, I’ve already notes how “Stranger Things” is a rock-solid hit among fans of all things Geek and now with two seasons under its belt its time for the third. The show premieres on the streaming service on July 4th and the Final Trailer was recently revealed. Let’s take a look down below.
