Lamb Of God To Perform On Slayer’s “Final World Tour” Leg 5

It was just a short time ago when the news began circulating about Slayer and the Fifth Leg of their “Final World Tour”. The North American run will feature support from Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse and the bands full itinerary was outlined HERE. Since the other bands would be releasing their own thoughts and some expanded press notes, I’ve chosen to shine the spotlight on each of them. Here is the Press Release from Lamb Of God.

The Press Release:
Music legends Slayer have just announced Leg 5: North America, the fifth overall leg of their final world tour. Heavy rock icons LAMB OF GOD will continue on as direct support to the tour, kicking off on May 2, 2019 at the Ak-Chin Amphitheatre in Phoenix, AZ. The tour will culminate at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA on May 25. LAMB OF GOD, Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse will support Slayer on all Leg 5: North America dates.

Lamb Of God & Anthrax Shall Deliver Us To Metal In Early 2016

It’s raining and gloomy here in NYC today and that is making me spend far too much time surfing around the web and “ugh” on Facebook but fortunately my email has been hefty with awesome news to share with the readership to get me away from the drivel over there. With that being said, once such note announced an early 2016 tour with a headlining Lamb Of God who will be bringing along Anthrax as direct support and both Deafheaven and Kylesa as the lead off bands. As I write this my phone is telling me that it is 87 degrees outside and while I prefer to stay inside with the air conditioning, I felt the best way to prepare myself both physically and mentally for the heat was by amping things up inside with the newest video by the mighty Lamb Of God. The clip showcases their recently unveiled tune entitled “512” from the forthcoming album “Sturm Und Drang” (that’s “storm and drive” in German in case you were not too sure) and was directed by Jorge Torres-Torres. Opening Today: Lamb Of God’s “As The Palaces Burn” (2/27/2014)

While many of the press outlets have gotten to see the film and offer up their take, today is the official opening day for the Lamb Of God documentary “As The Palace’s Burn”. The poster is below and if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, just click HERE to be up to speed. It looks compelling.

About the Film: As The Palaces Burn is a feature-length documentary that originally sought to follow the band and their fans throughout the world, to demonstrate how music ties us together when we can’t find any other common bond. However, during the filming process in 2012, the story abruptly took a dramatic turn, bringing the band into a Kafkaesque nightmare, when lead singer Randy Blythe was arrested on charges of manslaughter, blamed for the death of one of their young fans in the Czech Republic. What followed was a heart-wrenching courtroom drama that left fans, friends, and curious onlookers around the world on the edge of their seats.
