A few hours ago I learned the sad news about the passing of the legendary Adam West who portrayed DC Comics “Batman” on the cult favorite television show that bore the same name. The actor’s passing was announced by his family and their message follows his photo. Mr. West was 88 years old and this news hit me hard as it was another part of my youthful development leaving this plane for the Great Beyond.

“It’s with great sadness that we are sharing this news…Adam West passed away peacefully last night after a short but brave battle with leukemia. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. There are no words to describe how much we’ll miss him.
