Arch Enemy Announces North American “Will To Power” Tour

Let’s start off our Metal Month Of May proclamations with this little bit of touring news from the great Arch Enemy. Read on down below for the full press release and dates. I’ll close out with some editorial as I am prone to do.

The Press Release:
Extreme metal giants Arch Enemy announce their U.S fall tour alongside fellow metal heavyweights GoatWhore and newcomers Uncured. The tour follows the release of Arch Enemy’s chart-topping tenth studio album, Will To Power, released in September 2017 via Century Media. The 22-city tour kicks off on September 28th in Providence, RI, hitting major markets along the way, before culminating at the iconic Starland Ballroom in New Jersey on October 27th. Tickets go on sale May 4th 10AM local time at the website at the close.

On the upcoming tour, Arch Enemy’s founding guitarist and chief songwriter Michael Amott says: “After our hugely successful co-headline US/Canada trek with Trivium last fall, we are very much looking forward to returning to North American soil! This time we’re hitting a slew of cities and markets we haven’t been to in a while and we can guarantee that it’s gonna be an insane Metal party!”

Children Of Bodom Announces “20 Years Down & Dirty” North American Tour

Fans of the Finnish sensations in Children Of Bodom are sure going to love this Fall tour by the band as it celebrates the twentieth anniversary of their debut album “Something Wild” and you can read all about it along with the poster and tour dates down below. I’ll return at the close but you knew that already didn’t you.

The Press Release:
Finland’s melodic death superstars CHILDREN OF BODOM are returning to the states this fall for a mind-blowing celebration of 20 years since the debut of Something Wild and the beginning of the Hate Crew.

The 24-date tour will kick off on October 31st in Dallas, Texas with appearances at this year’s Ozzfest Meets Knotfest, 7 Canadian dates before concluding in Montreal on December 1st! Joining the band on the momentous occasion are Dutch masters of horror Carach Angren, Finnish thrashers Lost Society and New Jersey progressive, technical death metallers Uncured.

Alexi comments: “So my friends, after rolling thru Europe doing the 20th year anniversary tour, we were honestly pretty bummed out to find out that we wouldn’t have enough time to bring the tour to America since it was absolutely a blast for both the crowd and the band. But now I’m stoked to announce that as it turns out, we indeed will be able to do this on the other side of the pond so I’m over the top happy about that!! Remember guys, this will be a once in a lifetime experience seeing us playing all kinds of obscure tracks off the first album, stuff from the 2nd & 3rd albums that we ain’t played in over 15 years and the general rule really is that there will not be a single song newer than the Hate Crew Deathroll tracks so it’s all about old school COB! So even if Something Wild isn’t your favorite album, I can guarantee that it will be entertaining, nostalgic and flat out funny as hell to be a part of this madness so that’s one party you just cannot miss! “Let Sorrow Reign”; Katatonia Announces “Fallen Heart Of North America” Tour For 2017

A short while ago a wave of sadness and dread hit Metal fans across the nation and the melancholy only increased as more and more reports about Katatonia returning to the USA for a month-long tour became apparently clear. Well, as clear as tears would let one see at least. The sorrow was palpable at the revelation and when it comes to Katatonia this is a very good thing. A friend once said to me “if listening to Katatonia music makes you happy then you’re doing it wrong” and with that I will share the bands revelations and dates along with a very solemn poster.

The Band Commentary:
We’re excited to announce our ‘Fallen Hearts of North America’ headline tour in March & April 2017.

Guitarist Anders Nyström comments “We did three North American tours in support for ’Dead End Kings’ and it’s been three and a half years since the last one when we toured with Cult Of Luna, so having already embraced the new cycle of ’The Fall Of Hearts’ over here, we are eager to once again cross the Atlantic to continue from where we left off and to reap what we planted over there.”

Vocalist Jonas Renkse introduces the bands they have chosen to join them on the tour “We are very excited to finally announce our headline tour in North America for The Fall of Hearts. Also invited for this run are post-rock titans Caspian and young, promising act Uncured. Come out and celebrate the downfall of hearts (and everything else) with us!”
