The Rockstar Mayhem Fest 2012 Lineup & Dates Are In!

Yep. The names have been named and for the most part the dates have been finalized and in our constant effort to keep our site readers in the loop about some of the more important happenings upon the concert scene we are making mention on our blog. Take a look at who’s playing at this one.

Since it’s easier to keep abreast of the dates for the tour I linked to their official website in the logo way up above and of course down below at the close of this post for good measure. So what do you all think about this lineup? We have Slipknot headlining the tour and Slayer as direct support with Anthrax, The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, As I Lay Dying, Whitechapel and High On Fire along for the run as well. I’m very interested in hearing what you all think about this day long affair.

Prepare Ye Metalheads For The Summer Slaughter Of 2011

I just saw the poster for the 2011 edition of the Summer Slaughter Tour and I figured that I would post it for the Metal Republic to check out and discuss the bands that are participating for this go round.   Unless something changes for whatever reason the show will be headlined by Black Dahlia Murder and come with direct support from Whitechapel.  The rest of the bands involved are Darkest Hour, Dying Fetus, Six Feet Under, As Blood Runs Black, Oceano, Fleshrot Apocalypse and the halftime show will be a special performance by Powerglove.  One of these things is NOT like the other eh?  Check out the poster below.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: At this point in time I am not yet sure I am even going to attend because Spring has only just arrived and this is many months away.  I’ve seen a number of the bands in action before but if a good number of Metal friends are planning on convening at this then it could sway my vote.   What are your thoughts on the event and the participants?  I’d love to hear from you all on it.

Danzig Announces “Deth Red Sabaoth” US Spring Tour

Here’s a tour announcement that some of you readers will enjoy. It comes from the publicity peeps behind the great Glenn Danzig who is enjoying the praises of his latest album “Deth Red Sabaoth”. Check it out below, and I’ll return with some thoughts to close us out.

The Press Release:
Today, Danzig announces the Deth Red Sabaoth Tour this Spring with special guests Devildriver and 2Cents. The month-long, 22-city trek beings in Las Vegas on April 29th, hitting all regions of the US, and ends May 28th in Tempe, AZ. This comes on the heels of Danzig’s recent nomination for BEST VOCALIST at the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods Awards.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this weekend, March 4-5th, but special fan club pre-sale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, March 2nd at 3pm local time. For details, visit http://tixx1.artistarena.com/danzig.

The new single from Danzig will be “Ju Ju Bone”- a bluesy, devilishly melodic track from Danzig’s current, critically acclaimed album, Deth Red Sabaoth. The brand new video for “Ju Ju Bone” is soon to follow. The eerie, visually stunning video was co-directed by Glenn Danzig and Jonathan Lewis- director of the horror cult classic, Black Devil Doll.

DevilDriver’s claws are as sharp as ever with their fifth album Beast, which finds the band enjoying the best reviews of their near-decade career. 2Cents have become one of hard rock’s most promising young acts with their powerful live performance.

The Press Release:
In the ongoing campaign for their newest release, Poetry for the Poisoned, we are extremely pleased to announce that KAMELOT have confirmed a full North American Tour to take place late this Summer!

The long-awaited trek, dubbed Pandemonium Over North America 2011, is in support of KAMELOT’s epic, Billboard-charting album Poetry for the Poisoned (peaking at #74 on the US Billboard Top 200!), which was released in September. Along for the ride are Pirate-metallers Alestorm, as well as Blackguard and the The Agonist

Due to continuing medical and personal issues, Roy Khan will not be able to continue touring in support of, Poetry for the Poisoned. To his fans he states: “Hello all. I am here in Norway still recovering from what seems to have been a severe burnout syndrome. I am getting better but still under medical care. My priorities at the moment are my health & family. My future endeavors in Kamelot and music in general are being evaluated, however at this time my focus is on getting back on my feet and spending time with family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!”

Buckcherry & Hellyeah: The Jagermeister Music Tour 2011

Logo - Jagermeister Musictour

The fine folks who handle the press for the Synergy Entertainment Group asked me to share this video with you readers and since we just knew that you would eat it up, we kindly obliged. The short video features the band Buckcherry (an often mentioned favorite of That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk) as they discuss the upcoming 2011 Jagermeister Music Tour which they will be headlining.  To make matters more interesting this event will feature Hellyeah as their direct support (you know, that Outlaw Metal band that features Vinnie Paul of Pantera and a couple of the guys from Mudvayne). To kick things up a notch we also get All That Remains who kick many levels of ass and the brand new project from Anthrax and Fall Out Boy members with The Damned Things.  Check out the video and make sure you get your tickets for the performance in your town before they sell out.
