The Press Release:
Godzilla’s march across the Marvel Universe begins next month! Over six groundbreaking one-shots, the King of Monsters faces off against iconic Marvel super heroes in battles set during different periods of both Godzilla and Marvel Comics history. Following a Silver Age bout with Marvel’s First Family, an Earth-trembling ‘70s slugfest with the strongest there is, and a pulse-pounding encounter with a Black suited wallcrawler, Godzilla catches the attention of mutantkind in GODZILLA VS. X-MEN #1! Arriving in May, GODZILLA VS. X-MEN takes place during the X-Men’s ‘90s heyday and will be written by one of that era’s key creators, Fabian Nicieza, known for his influential runs of X-Men and X-Force. This March, comic book history will be made as “Detective Comics” reaches its milestone 1000th issue. As you all know, this is the title that gave us “The Batman” way back in May of 1939 and before I get into the cover visuals, I wanted to share that classic issue with you all. Remember, Batman didn’t appear in the first issue of that comic but instead in its 27th.

DC Comics Reveals “Action Comics” #1000 Retailer Variants

A few days ago I shared the variant covers that span the years that “Action Comics” has been on the stands. These clever editions took a decade each to showcase the adventures of Superman, the Man Of Steel. Hopefully you saw that post and if not, just click HERE for the overview. You’re going to need this when you visit your local comic book retailer next month when issue #1000 hits the stands. In addition to those variants, many of the retailers will have their own exclusive editions and I’ve secured a stockpile of images for you to peruse. I’ve named the retailer and the artist involved in the variant cover and I’ve started with the two popular comic retail giants of our own Metropolis and then the rest are in alphabetical order. Check it out.

Welcome back my friends to the posts that never seemed to end about the 2014 edition of NY Comic Con. You have safely arrived at the second chapter of our Day Four coverage and I am afraid that this is our very last from the adventures. I’ll admit that I am slightly slagged today after three days at Con already along with three Metal concerts on top of them but here I am just the same looking to bring you some visuals that I hope spark your interest. Let’s get on down to it with this Cosplay of a character I didn’t know offhand and thought was The Scourge from Marvel Comics. It was not.
