Okay here we go. So just a little while ago, Metallica officially announced that we would be getting a video for every single one of the tunes on the very soon to be released album “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”. These clips will follow the ones that have already been released with “Hardwired”, “Moth Into Flame” and “Atlas, Rise!” which have already been discussed here on PiercingMetal over the course of the last couple of months. “Dream No More” marks the fourth video from the new album and it was directed by Tom Kirk with some acting by Jeff Harms.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: This was my first time hearing this tune and its got a very Alice In Chains type of groove to it and is a slow and steady cruncher. There is a cool effect to this video of a shadowy figure walking through normal life and sometimes he is just darkness while at others acts as a screen for the band to be shown on. Pretty wild. When I first started showcasing the Metallica videos I mused how it would be nice to see them included on a special edition release. Now with a clip for every single track there is no avoiding that.
