Bon Jovi Cancels 2020 Summer Tour Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

I guess this recently released news from the Bon Jovi camp comes as no real surprise. Most of the cities of our nation are still dealing with the dreaded Coronavirus Pandemic and with massive events such as the Comic Con International: San Diego and The BookExpo being cancelled for the year in full, it makes sense to find large scale tours doing the same. The statement is below along with all the affected dates.

The Press Release:
Due to the ongoing global pandemic, it is no longer feasible for Bon Jovi to tour this summer. Given these difficult times, we have made the decision to cancel the tour entirely. This will enable ticketholders to get refunds to help pay their bills or buy groceries. These are trying times. You’ve always been there for us and we’ll always be there for you. We look forward to seeing everyone again on tour when we can all safely be together. We will continue to send out news and updates on Bon Jovi touring in the weeks and months to come.

Bon Jovi Announces Summer Tour For 2020

I know it surprises a lot of people to see summer tours being announced so early into the start of a brand-new year but that is how it rolls in media. It’s honestly not a bad way to see the year framing out and especially when its a tour by Bon-Jovi. Here is the latest from his side of the fence.

The Press Release:
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band BON JOVI has broken every touring record imaginable, topped every chart, and received every accolade, and now has their sights set on kicking off 2020 with new music and touring. The Grammy Award winning band announced the Bon Jovi 2020 Tour today, presented by Live Nation, will start in the U.S. this June and play arenas across America. The Bon Jovi 2020 Tour will feature Bryan Adams.

Recently named by Pollstar as one of the top touring bands of all time with nearly 10 million tickets sold in just the last decade alone, the magazine said: “One can count on one hand the number of rock bands that broke out in the 1980s that are still successfully touring today, but doing so with fresh, new music that retains the authenticity that is at the heart of the best in rock ‘n’ roll.”

Bon Jovi Unveils Career Spanning “17” LP Boxed Set

Though I still need to replace my long non-functioning turntable, I still have most of my records and love to share the news about any artists who are re-issuing their catalog on high-quality vinyl. Speaking frankly, there are so many of my friends and inner circle music peeps who are vinyl maniacs who even go on excursions for Record Store Day each year in the hopes of finding something limited and eventually classic. This press release below lines out the massive news about a comprehensive career boxed set for the one and only Bon Jovi. Check out the full on scoop and the provided images. I’ll return at the close with a brief thought or two. I should warn you that since there are a LOT of albums in this set that the press copy is rather long. You might want to get a fresh cup of coffee before you begin.

The Press Release:
With over 130 million albums sold, an extensive catalog of hit anthems, and nearly 3000 concerts performed in 50 countries for over 35 million fans, Bon Jovi is simply one of the world’s most successful bands, ever. As their new album, This House Is Not For Sale, debuts at #1 in the US, Australia and Japan and in the Top 5 in 54 other countries, Island/UMe announces that a comprehensive vinyl box set of 25-LPs, entitled Bon Jovi: The Albums, will be released in February 2017. It will include all Bon Jovi albums and additional titles (as outlined below) for premium collectors. The box set release will coincide with the kick-off of the band’s This House Is Not For Sale Tour in North America. Check out the contents of the career-spanning box set in the unboxing trailer here and pre-order now: https://UMe.lnk.to/BonJoviBox

Alternately, Island/UMe has made every Bon Jovi album from the past thirty-two years available for individual purchase on high-quality vinyl now. Fans can purchase individual albums now at https://UMe.lnk.to/BonJoviLPs
Every vinyl album preserves the original look and sound of the originals – all LP jackets are exact replicas of the original album cover and songs have been mastered to the band’s specifications to ensure exceptional audio quality. There are also plenty of “firsts” – this will be the first time Bon Jovi’s albums from the 2000’s have been pressed in any territory before, others will receive their first-ever U.S. vinyl releases, while many are being pressed for the first time in decades.

Bon Jovi Announces “This House Is Not For Sale” Tour For 2017

Now I must apologize for getting this one out to you a few days after it first hit but I am super tied up with the happenings over at the 2016 NY Comic Con but here we are now. Just the other day Jon Bon Jovi announced the bands 2017 touring run for the “This House Is Not For Sale” album and I’ll let the press release say the rest.

The Press Release:
October 5, 2016 – Grammy Award®-winning band, Bon Jovi today announced that the This House Is Not for Sale Tour, presented by Live Nation, will kick off in February 2017. Hitting arenas across the U.S., the iconic rock band will present anthems, fan favorites, and new hits from their upcoming 14th studio album, This House Is Not for Sale (out Nov. 4 on Island/UMG). As an added bonus, fans will receive a physical copy of This House Is Not For Sale with every ticket purchased.

This will be the band’s first outing since Bon Jovi’s 2013 Because We Can World Tour, which was their third tour in six years to be ranked the #1 top-grossing tour in the world (a feat accomplished by only The Rolling Stones previously). Bon Jovi’s touring legacy will be recognized Nov. 9th with the 2016 “Legend of Live” award at the Billboard Touring Conference & Awards.

As Bon Jovi rocks October to launch This House Is Not for Sale, the title track is already inside the Top Ten of the AC Radio Chart – it is Bon Jovi’s highest debut on that chart to date. Appearances/features are set with The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing today), ABC’s Good Morning America, Nightline, Charlie Rose, Howard Stern, People and Billboard Magazine. On the road, the TIDAL X: Bon Jovi series brings Bon Jovi to four historic venues to perform live listening parties to reveal the album, start to finish, in New Jersey (Count Basie Theatre was held on Oct. 1), London (Palladium London, Oct. 10), Toronto (Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Oct. 17) and for the first time on Broadway for a TIDAL livestream (Barrymore Theatre, Oct. 20). This will be Bon Jovi’s first major release since What About Now (2013), the band’s 3rd consecutive multi-platinum album to debut at #1 on the Top 200 (Lost Highway in 2007, and The Circle in 2009).
