Ghost Unveils “The Summoning VI”: The Proceedings Intensify

Continuing on with these reveals from the apparent secluded HQ of the enigmatic Ghost and their most earnest loyalists. Behold “The Summoning” Part VI.

LINKÖPING, SWEDEN- OCTOBER 17, – Grammy® Award-winning band Ghost have unveiled a new clip entitled The Summoning VI: The Proceedings Intensify in the wake of the release of their new Popestar EP which debuted at the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts and sold over 21,000 copies in it’s first week. The release is also the first EP to top the Top Rock Albums chart in its 10-year history.

Popestar was released on September 16th by Loma Vista Recordings and is available online and in record stores on CD, vinyl, and digital. The surprise five-track offering features leading psalm “Square Hammer” and also contains covers of selections by Echo and the Bunnymen, Simian Mobile Disco, Eurythmics, and Imperiet. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I don’t have much to add to this but wow she is intent in purpose for sure. I am curious about what is to come up next. Can Papa III’s tenure be coming to a close? One has to wonder because now that the album and an EP have come out it would make sense and follow their practice. Who knows, I just know that I like “Meliora” and PIII so I remain hopeful. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I don’t have much to add here my fiends, but I guess that its safe to assume that we should all start listening to Sister Imperator lest we get a crack on the knuckles with her yardstick. That was a popular means of getting you into accord by the nuns at the Catholic schools way back in the day and I’m pretty sure that Imperator has a spike on the end of hers for proper accommodation. It was only a couple of days ago that we shared the most recent bit of propaganda from Ghost in their “The Summoning” clips and it was a part of the longer official tour press release. PiercingMetal Thoughts: So there you have it. The Philadelphia happening will be moved to another date to accommodate that other visiting dignitary. Don’t forget to mark down this change on your calendar, your mobile device and whatever else you use to keep track of your concert doings.
