Ghost Presents: Chapter Seven “New World Redro”

[MESSAGE FROM THE CLERGY] We wish to inform you all work and no play makes Papa…

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I love these clips and to summarize and analyze what we saw here, it seems like the Cardinal is taxing the last good nerve of Papa Nihil. Could a change in the ranks be far from happening? All we can do is wait with anticipation on the next chapter and see what will come to pass. Redro is “order” spelled backwards, so could a reverse of the snap set things right once more in the world of Ghost. Oh, my bad that’s a different franchise entirely but I think you get my meaning. Only time will tell. The Flock is waiting….

An eminently tight track with its relentless and melodic guitar solos and dark, torturous lyrics, “Faith” manifests Ghost creative force Tobias Forge’s flair for soaring stadium-size anthems.

Ghost Presents: Chapter Six: “The Visit”

Message From The Clergy: We wish to inform you the story continues. Chapter 6 is available for viewing…

PiercingMetal Thoughts: It looks like Sister Imperator will soon be back to work for the ministry now that she is all healed up after her accident which is a good thing indeed. During her absence, the band Ghost has been keeping busy and just recently completed their “A Pale Tour Named Death” run of dates. Sadly, I myself missed it (not for lack of trying to be a part of the madness) but fortunately our own Kat Electric was in attendance and documented an in-depth show report so I could be there in my mind. That summary was posted HERE in case you missed it. With The Cardinal and Papa 0 set to take care of her for the time being, one can only imagine the kind of madness that will ensure across future chapters. Speaking frankly, I hope that there is still a chance to catch the Cardinal in concert before another Papa manifests because I’ve never witnessed his glorious Metal mass yet and would hate to have missed out completely. What do you readers think is coming next? Chime in down below.

Ghost @ Barclays Center (12/15/2018)

Label: Loma Vista Recordings

There is a spectre haunting the world, the spectre of Ghost. Having gone from playing theaters only a year ago to dominating the same sold-out arenas as Iron Maiden, Ghost is a phenomena. From an outsider’s non-metal perspective, Ghost is “basically a satanic Alice Cooper mixed with KISS and a little bit of Marilyn Manson, right?” Although a decent attempt to brand Ghost with a single visual label, this endeavor is ill-fated as it forgoes the group’s depth, and even insults Ghost’s core ideology, and musical wizardry.

So if Ghost isn’t just a satanic Alice-KISS-Manson mashup, what are they and how is what they do any different from the others? Easy. Ghost, as explained by frontman Tobias Forge, is a Mass, a celebration if you will. An evil satanic Mass celebrating the Lord of the Underworld, you ask? Nay. The Ghost spectacle is a celebration of life, knowledge, exploration, and of course, heavy riffs, big drums, and a bass line that will “wobble your ass,” as Cardinal Copia might say. Still not following how a bunch of Swedes (or so we think) dressed up as ghouls commanded by the antithesis of religious piety is actually a loving, caring, and genius gift to the fate of humankind? Fair enough. Without going into further examination of their lyrical content, as I faithfully believe you can research the true meaning behind most songs by a click of a mouse, let’s highlight Ghost’s 2018 tour: A Pale Tour Named Death.
