Warner Brothers “The Flash” Official Trailer

the flash, movie logos, the flash movie logo, warner brothers pictures

It’s been a long, long, long, long time since we saw any kind of images and teaser briefs for the finally on its way film “The Flash”. The Warner Brothers company has since merged with Discovery, and then James Gunn was put in charge of the DC Universe of films. One of the things James did was announce that all of the stuff was being rebooted from the ground up and that means no more Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and even The Rock as Black Adam. During this time, actor Ezra Miller was more complicated than a game of “The Campaign for North Africa” (that’s a Big Bang Theory reference BTW). With all that being said, the time has arrived and the first Official Trailer is embedded below. Enjoy.

DC Fandome Shares The CW Network 2021 Promotional Posters

The DC Fandome is pulling out all the stops or as many as they can fit into this virutal convention and now they have revealed a run of posters for the upcoming DC Comics superhero shows that air on The CW Network in advance of the happening itself. These shows were commonly referred to as “The Arrowverse” but with the death of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen in the finale of his series I guess they will be changing that. I’ve offered up some personal opinion on the assorted series and how they are or are not keeping my attention at this point in time.

The Flash: For me The Flash is starting to run on empty. The storylines are too drawn out for me, and as opposed to lengthy goes with one master villain, I’d love for more assorted characters. Full seasons of Thinker and Cicada were too much for me and DC Comics often had other heroes villains facing them. Marvel does this all the time so take a queue. I still like it though.

The CW Network will officially launch its new season in January 2021 with its regularly scheduled series line-up, while loading up Fall 2020 with fresh original and acquired scripted series and alternative programming, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The CW Network.

“This year, The CW has made the proactive strategic decision to launch its new season in January 2021, rolling out a line-up of our signature returning series which will be joined next year by our four new series, including the return of the DC’s most iconic superhero in SUPERMAN & LOIS, the return of the Texas Rangers in WALKER, the reimagined KUNG FU and the rebellious drama THE REPUBLIC OF SARAH. And by moving our new season to January, we are stocking our fall with a balance of original and acquired scripted series and alternative programming that fits The CW brand and provides fresh programming through the fourth quarter,” said Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The CW. “In 2021, The CW will have more original scripted programming throughout the year, week in and week out, than we have ever had, fueling our multiplatform ecosystem, which combines linear TV, our best in class AVOD services and unparalleled reach on social media. Additionally, next year, The CW will have full stacking rights to eight series to stream on our free, ad-supported digital platforms.”

“As we manage the current crisis, we’ve developed a methodical programming strategy for this year and well in to next that we believe works for The CW, our advertisers, affiliates and audience, while keeping the health and safety of our productions and creative partners front of mind,” Pedowitz added.

On Shelves: “The Flash” #750 – Happy 80th Anniversary

Back in January, I helped share the news about the comic book milestone issue #750 for DC Comics “The Flash”. For this special edition one-shot, there would be a series of “Decades” variants much like the ones we saw for “Wonder Woman” #750. My variant covers “reveal” post for “The Flash” #750 can be examined HERE. The standard edition of this special edition is presented for you below and then I decided to have a little fun.

“The Flash” #750

Since it was New Comic Book Day and since we were in our local comic book shop (Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn), I decided to have some fun and capture a quick video of all the individual issues on the racks and say a little bit about the whole batch. It makes for some good YouTube Channel content and we’d love to have you as subscribers on this medium so be sure to click HERE, choose “subscribe” and click the bell to be alerted to any newness.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I noted that was likely to do when this hit the stands, I picked up a single copy of the issue that you see in this post because I don’t have the space for “8” additional issues of a single title anymore. Let me add to the fact that there is also going to be a special edition “Green Lantern” and “Joker” issue coming and those will also run between 8-10 dollars apiece. I miss the days when this hobby wasn’t as expensive as its become. So what do you readers think about this announcement? Will you be purchasing this special edition of “The Flash” or its multiple variant covers? Chime in down below in the comments section. See you next time.
