Square Enix Presents: Marvel’s “Avengers” Official Trailer

The E3 Convention/Expo is underway and I have a number of colleagues in attendance doing reporting for their respective mediums. Their being there led me to follow some of the activity for our Pop Culture focuses since video games are often based on the Toys, Comics and Film items that are discussed on that section of the PiercingMetal.com website. When I saw the trailer for the upcoming 2020 release of “Marvel’s Avengers” by the folks at Square Enix, I knew that I had to share it with the readership. Take a look down below.

About The Game: Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Marvel Entertainment and Square Enix are excited to unveil Marvel’s Avengers, an epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay. Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest, Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020.

The Trailer for “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” Has Leaked! Check It Out!

While tooling around the Net this morning I learned that the teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel Studios film “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” has been leaked and with this being the case, they added it to their own YouTube.com channel for all to enjoy. As a lifelong geek for things that are comic book related I just had to toss this post together for you to check it out.

Premise: In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Avengers must work together to defeat Ultron, a technological enemy bent on human extinction. – That’s pretty much all we need to describe the goings on in this film since the trailers have shown it to be loaded with action and super heroic feats. That is all I need at least. Check out the main cast for this one.

A Week Of Marvels: Thor, Avengers: Age Of Ultron & Captain America

I had initially planned on putting up a broadcast per interesting news item but the stuff that came flying at my mailbox from the Marvel Comics side this week was just too fast for that and as many readers have seen, there had been several tour announcements to dish out. That said I lumped all three of these interesting and somewhat major happenings in the Marvel Universe into one post. I hope you will forgive me for taking the easy way out this time around 🙂 Let’s get down to business.

1. Thor Gets In Touch With His Feminine Side & Becomes A Woman: On the Tuesday episode of “The View” Marvel made the announcement that Thor would become a female in a move to attract more people to the franchise. Writer Jason Aaron was quoted as saying “This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before.”

Presenting The 39th Annual Saturn Awards Winners

saturn awards logo

According to their Wikipedia entry, “The Saturn Awards are American awards presented annually by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The awards were created to honor science fiction, fantasy, and horror in film, but have since grown to reward other films belonging to genre fiction, as well as television and home media releases. The Saturn Awards were created in 1973 and were originally referred to as Golden Scrolls”.

As I pointed out in the post with all of the nominations a couple of months ago, I am on a quest to make the Pop Culture and Entertainment content of the PiercingMetal site even more interesting. I’m continuing on with the practice of following this particular awards show based on its overall premise that the films and shows they feature are right up my alley. Airing Tonight: “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” (5/26/2013)

If you are a fan of what’s been going on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then I say that its high time to pay a little mind to the smaller screen in your home (but if you are like me that is probably some kind of giant LCD screen so not too small in theory). That being said check out this new animated offering that features “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” in “Avengers Assemble”. The poster and premise are below.
