ProgPower USA Reveals 2020 Day 3 & 4 Lineup

At the time of our posting this, there are hundreds and hundreds of Metalheads making their way to a place called The Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia for the annual ProgPower USA Heavy Metal music festival which actually is starting later on today. While these fans are getting ready to rock, we caught wind of a promotional video for next years 3rd and 4th day and are sharing it with you below so you know what we are both missing out on at the moment and how excited we should be for next years happening. Watch the video to see clips of all the announced bands. It’s a bit long but I found it rather enjoyable so you should as well. Here we go.

Devin Townsend Project Announces New Tour Dates For Spring

Now that Valentine’s Day is out of the way we can focus the love on the bands which bring the heaviness to the live stage and with that in mind here is a recent announcement from The Devin Townsend Project. Take a look.

DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT will return to the road in the US this year with a two week stretch of dates; some of which will see the band playing support for Opeth. The band continues to tour on the strength of their new record, Transcendence. Speaking about their upcoming shows in North America, Devin comments:

“Continuing on our run to support Transcendence, we are coming back to America for a quick run with Opeth and Gojira as well as some additional dates to get us to and from those shows. We are many places this year and are trying to make sure we take advantage of our geographic locations as we roll. The band keeps getting stronger and we look forward to seeing you there!”

HAKEN Announce North America “Affinitour” Dates For Fall

Hello my friends of the more Progressive side of their Metal and Rock, I am back once more with a tour announcement for a band called Haken who I am very, very new to and must do some proper digging into because many of my friends are telling me that I do not know what I am missing. London-based progressive metal band Haken have just completed the European leg of their “Affinitour” in support of their latest release ‘Affinity’. Now they are pleased to announce the North America tour for this Fall. The tour kicks off in Chicago, IL on Aug. 30th and concludes in Portland, OR on Sept. 21st. The group will also make a stop at major US festival ProgPower in Atlanta, on Sept 10th. New Jersey Prog outfit Thank You Scientist join the group on this 17 date trek.
