Greetings my PiercingMetal Readers and welcome back once again to our Pop Culture offerings. We are slowly wrapping up all of the stuff from 2025 as it heads towards its inevitable close and as many of you know when this time of the year rolls around, I like to feature the rundown of the episodes of “The Twilight Zone” that will be broadcast as part of the marathon over on the Syfy Network. Though I don’t know exactly when they began showing this marathon, I can say with some level of certainty that I began posting about it in 2019 and since it was met with a great response in terms of website traffic it became and annual affair. The newbies might not know that the show first aired in 1959 and ran for five seasons with a total of 156 episodes that have remained as timeless and enthralling as they did some 67 years ago. This lengthy marathon begins very early on New Year’s Eve Day and runs into the brand-new year and beyond and the Science Fiction and Mystery fans cannot get enough of it. I know that its remained a favorite of mine as well but I still need to purchase the complete series on Blu-ray for my home library. This year there are more than “80” episodes which is considerably less than in the previous years. One year they broadcast “142” and the last time around there were “113”. The lengthy year showed episodes from other eras of “The Twilight Zone” series and the last time was without anything from Season Four. Since they included a wealth of Season Four episodes this time around there will be less in total. Now, the rundown you see below was culled from the Syfy Network resources and compared against Spectrum TV’s guide and seems to be in sync. While I don’t expect anything to change there is always the chance and if something you see down below is NOT broadcast, don’t give me a hard time about it and instead direct all annoyance at the Syfy Network or your own local cable provider on their social media channels. As you know, at the close of each of the Creative Calendar years, I tend to wrap up PiercingMetal stuff with a rundown of “The Twilight Zone” marathon that airs on the Syfy Network. This is a lengthy missive based on all of the episodes that get broadcast and to make it all easier on me, I’ve been getting some of the legwork done well in advance. This time around I noticed that the Syfy Network was also offering up a marathon of episodes for the Christmas Day holiday and the day after which will be Boxing Day depending on where you call home. With this being the case I knew I had to share this rundown with you as well. Hello there my friends and fellow Science Fiction geeks. I’m here with a bit of a last minute surprise that I learned about while scanning the guide on the cable box. So it looks like the fine folks over at the Syfy Channel are offering up another marathon of episodes from the classic television series “The Twilight Zone”. As soon as I learned about this, I culled together the necessary rundown of these Rod Serling classics and wanted to deliver them to with time enough for you to program your DVR or however else you keep programs for later viewing. As you might already know, the Syfy Channel does a marathon of “The Twilight Zone” on the last day or so of the year and straight through into it. The number of episodes varies from year to year as do the days that the marathon runs on but we’re talking about the one this weekend at the moment. For me, the show has withstood the tests of time and still ranks very highly among fandom. It’s not hard to see why after you indulge in a dozen of them because they are so interesting and often throw a curve ball at you that you never saw coming. According to the rundown there are approximately “45” episodes being broadcast and you’ll likely need a couple of pots of strong coffee if you want to start watching them when it begins at 8AM tomorrow.
