YES Announces Select Spring Tour Dates

Prog rock pioneers and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees YES have announced a run of spring U.S. headline tour dates March 19-25 leading into their annual Cruise to the Edge (March 27-April 1) sailing out of Miami. At shows in Florida and South Carolina, the band will perform their classic hits and be joined by the Alan Parsons Live Project. Tickets for these dates–a precursor to the band’s North American fall tour, to be announced in the months ahead–go on sale to the public on Friday, January 24 at 10:00am ET.

The 2019 summer concert calendar has just been lit up with the announcement of YES’ North American concert tour, “The Royal Affair Tour.” Headlined by prog rock pioneers and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees YES, who triumphed last year with their acclaimed and hugely successful #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES tour, this must-see best-of-British-rock show will also feature Asia with the return of founding member Steve Howe in a special performance, John Lodge of The Moody Blues, and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy with guest vocals by Arthur Brown. The first set of dates for “The Royal Affair Tour” has been announced. The trek will launch Wednesday, June 12 in Bethlehem, PA and visit cities including Holmdel, NJ; Toronto; Nashville; Hollywood, FL; Phoenix; Las Vegas; and Irvine, CA before wrapping Sunday, July 28 in Saratoga, CA. Prog-Rock Legends Yes Announce “YESTIVAL” 2017 Summer Tour

They might be getting inducted into the “esteemed” Rock Hall tomorrow, but last night the members of Yes dropped by the SiriusXM Satellite Radio studios for a chat with David Fricke. Read all about it below.

In advance of tomorrow’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, YES revealed their initial summer touring plans live on SiriusXM last night during their exclusive in-studio audience event “SiriusXM Volume Presents an Artist Confidential with YES.” The 2017 outing, called YESTIVAL, will feature a set list of greatest hits from all of the band’s studio albums up to 1980, showcasing the storied history of one of the world’s most influential, ground-breaking, and respected progressive rock bands.

“We are looking forward to presenting songs from each of the first nine studio albums, including some surprises,” says YES guitarist Steve Howe.

Progressive Rock fans are going to be flipping out at the news about the bands latest tour which will find them delivering a classic album in full with half of another seminal work and choice hits in the summer of this year. YES announced today (4/11) their 2016 summer touring plans. Billed as “The Album Series: Drama + Topographic 1 & 4,” the tour will feature the 1980 album DRAMA performed in its entirety, for the first time ever, and sides one and four of 1973’s double album TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS, plus a selection of their greatest hits.

“We are proud to present the American public with forward-looking albums from the past,” says guitarist Steve Howe of the iconic and influential band. “Promoting ‘Drama’ at Madison Square Garden on multi-nights was a career milestone in 1980, and we are especially looking forward to performing both the opening and closing sides to ‘Topographic Oceans.'” Adds keyboardist Geoff Downes: “One minute, Trevor Horn and I were in The Buggles, the next we joined Yes, then we were in Madison Square Garden playing ‘Drama.'” Expresses drummer Alan White: “We really hit the ground running with ‘Topographic Oceans,’ my first recorded album with Yes. It pushed boundaries of music and went to number 1 in the UK.”
