Quarantine Geek Unite!!!! Subscribers to the Disney+ streaming service will be heading to a galaxy far, far away once more as the entire series of films makes its way to the service on May The 4th. Let’s check out the trailer down below.

The Scoop: The complete Skywalker Saga, all in one place. Start streaming all 9 films, including Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, on May the 4th, only on Disney+.

The Films:
Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)
Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I think that this is a great idea since we are all under lockdown unless we’re viewed as “essential” workforce and these films might be just what most of us need to escape the constant uncertainty of the day based on the Coronavirus pandemic. It’s nothing to be trifled with that’s for sure so I hope you are being safe out there. Currently I do not subscribe to the Disney+ service since I only have a small Kindle Fire tablet and my PS3 is not set up with an app for me to watch on the television so I will be pulling my copies of these classics out of my video library and watching them the old fashioned way. I’ve also been working my way through some of the Marvel Studios films when I am not trying to keep our readership engaged with the website. What do you think of this news? Do you subscribe? Will you watch these films another way if you don’t? Chime in down below and if you need some of them still, I’ve loaded all of them down below on Amazon.com for you to order.

The wait is over at long last, you are no longer anxiously awaiting the continuing adventures from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away because the 7th installment in the “Star Wars” franchise arrives with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which opens up in more theaters than you can possibly imagine today. Now there was an LA premiere a couple of days ago and I am sure some members of the media were at exclusive screenings (you lucky ducks) but the focus in on the masses of humanity that are slavering and checking their watches to coordinate their own attendance. Check out the poster, a reminder of the premise for those under a rock and the cast before I return to offer up some additional thoughts on it all.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Considering I’m one of the people that fell into the smallest factions that did NOT take advantage of purchasing tickets when they went on sale a couple of months ago I feel that I am not going to be able to see the new Star Wars until February or March based on the demand. I’ll ask those readers who might somehow feel compelled about commenting in on this post about it to leave it to stuff along the lines of “I loved it, its great” or “OMG that made me want Jar Jar Binks back” as opposed to any significant plot developments or deeper secret reveals. I’ve had my hands full with all the constant spoilers of “The Walking Dead” to contend with and don’t want this guilty pleasure ruined for me as well. So what are your plans this opening day? Will you see the film at some point today or are you one of the lucky ones who managed to see it in some kind of exclusive screening or in Los Angeles the other day? Whatever the case may be let me know in the comments below. Perhaps I will try and sneak an early matinee on a day when I am hoping no one else will be hitting the film before my myriad of Fellow Facebook Geeks force me to turn off my profile for a month. May The Force be with you…..always.

Get Galactic With “Star Wars The Force Awakens” Full Trailer

Last night during “Monday Night Football”, Disney unveiled the full official trailer for the upcoming film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and since I was not going to sit through a football game to catch this I simply kept the YouTube.com page open to “Star Wars” account until it was there for the rest of the non-sports focused folks to see and if you missed it for some reason it is right below for your enjoyment. I’ll be back afterward.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: The more I see the more I like but since tickets went on sale shortly after the trailer premiered for its December 18th opening I don’t think I am getting into the movie theater for the film until the end of February based on all the demand. Everyone is super excited about this one and yes it sure does look good and I hope it is. Remember we were all excited for the first of the three prequels and that gave us Jar Jar Binks and some politically incorrect sounding tradespeople and more. Anyway, this really does keep you on the edge of your seat and I am game but hope that the world of Facebook Spoilers don’t ruin it for me before I get a chance to see it. Considering how quickly they kill folks enjoyment of “The Walking Dead”, I might have disable my account until I get into a cinema. What did you readers think of the longer trailer? Also, were you one of the lucky ones that snagged tickets? Let us know in the comments section as that is what its there for.
