Coming Soon: Hasbro’s Marvel Legends “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Vol. 2 Wave 2 Action Figures

I’d say that it feels like only yesterday that I was sharing some visuals about an awesome set of action figures from those folks over at Hasbro Toys but it was yesterday so let’s move on. The interesting thing is that this information was circulating around the same time as the low down on the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” action figures for the film that opens in July. This news is a right surprise because its coming only a couple of weeks before the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Vol. 2 film which we’ve also been discussing here and sharing some trailers like THIS ONE on the website for a few months. Hasbro has just unveiled the Second Wave of action figures for this film and I’ve culled the images from Amazon.com to share with you below. Let’s take a look.

Out Now: Hasbro’s “Marvel Legends” Guardians Of The Galaxy V2 “Titus” Build-A-Figure

Photos of this latest set of the Marvel Legends series have been making the rounds since being revealed at the SDCC 2016 but the first time that I ever saw them on the shelves was the other day when I snapped my photos while shopping at my local comic book shop. The premise of the set is “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Vol. 2 and they’ve arrived just in time since the film opens up in a couple of weeks and its something that I am very excited about. I loved the first film and cannot wait to see where they take these characters this time. There are “7” figures making up this set and they are Drax, Yondu, Vance Astro, Angela (not pictured), Darkhawk, Nova and Star-Lord. Okay some of the characters are from the GOTG comics only but that is fine by me. Each of these figures (except the Star-Lord one) include a piece of the Titus character who is someone that I didn’t know about at all until I penned this little narrative. Apparently he is a villain of Nova and is a cybernetic tiger sort of thing. When I first saw the image on the back of the packaging I thought that we were getting Man-Wolf. He would make a nice addition to the Marvel Legends series because we do already have a cool Morbius. The pics were taken at Galaxy Comics in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and you can check out their Yelp right HERE.

“Protect The Future”, “Change The Future”; Marvel’s “Civil War II” Is Coming

According to press releases “Civil War II is an upcoming comic book crossover event published by Marvel Comics that is scheduled to debut in June 2016. The limited series, created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artists David Marquez and Justin Ponsor, is a sequel to 2006’s Civil War. In Civil War II opposing factions of superheroes lead by Captain Marvel and Iron Man battle in an allegory about determinism versus free will” – For the past couple of weeks I had been receiving variant covers that showcase the exciting players in this conflict and as new ones arrive I will append this posting. Check them out down this post.

The Marvel Universe is at a crossroads. A new power has emerged, one that can predict the future—for good or ill— and the heroes of the Marvel Universe are faced with a choice: Wield the power of “predictive justice” to change the future as they see fit, or reject it and allow tomorrow to unfold unaltered. Protect the future. Change the future. Choose your side.

Marvel Comics First Issues Coming In November 2015

Wow was that a fun-filled October or what? I’m saying it like that because not only did we have a lot of awesome Metal shows to slam around at but also a ton of super cool comic books to read and of course the latest edition of NY Comic Con which I know so many of our regional readers had assembled at in force. So here we are now in November and we will be getting “27” new series from Marvel Comics which amounts to almost a new title per day of the month if you wanted to get playful with math. For the sake of shopping and my own sanity I have marked down all of the new series coming out this month from Marvel Comics and they are listed alphabetically for easy visual digestion. Some will hit the stands this coming week and the rest as the month progresses. As usual the cover art and premise/creative team comes from the publicity team over at Marvel and then I’ll be chiming in. Better start requesting a couple of extra shifts at work to cover this amount of monthly titles because there are just so darned many to choose from. I suggest you keep a pencil and paper near you as you make your way through this massive grouping. Here we go.

All-New, All-Different Avengers #1-2: The Avengers are dead–long live the Avengers! Earth’s Mightiest Heroes–Captain America, Thor, Vision, and Iron Man–are living separate lives, not tied to any team–but when a threat from beyond the stars targets our world, fate draws them together once more, alongside Nova, Ms. Marvel, and Miles Morales a.k.a. Spider-Man!
