Though I’ve got plenty to still attend to I think its fairly safe to say that we are now officially cooking with gas on the coverage of the Toy Association’s Toy Fair that ended its four day takeover of the Javits Center last Tuesday. As referenced I am now doing the full exhibitor booth focuses and this post shares all of the topical finds for our demographic from the fine folks at Spin Master. Let’s get a move on.

Spin Master has a lot of cool DC Comics related superhero action figures and playsets. They did products for the DCEU films like “Blue Beetle”, “The Flash”, “Black Adam” and more. Down below you’ll find assorted lines that will be released in the coming months. I won’t overtalk during this though.

Here’s a section of the display but don’t worry I will close in on a bunch of them for you to see a little easier.

The Toy Association’s Toy Fair just wrapped up its 2025 Trade Show at the Javits Center and this event found them bringing the show back to the first quarter of the year after doing one in the Fall of 2023. They would bypass 2024 entirely to reframe and recalibrate the affair and I was excited to be bringing the PiercingMetal website into the mix once again. I’ve been attending with the outlet since 2011 which made the most recent event my 12th year of attending in a professional capacity. Over the last few years I’ve been using the Piercing Ken website for some additional Toy Fair coverage and since there was so much to document over these last few days that process will continue. I’ll also be using the Ken Pierce Media website to tie everything together as that has seemed to work out well when both sides of the creative coin are being utilized. My plan for PiercingMetal documentation is to do a number of exhibitor spotlight posts until I’m done with the stuff that our readership likes and then I’ll add in any of the videos that have been done for YouTube to wrap it up. I will probably do my standard of no more than “50” images in each post since that has helped me work with things like the New York Comic Con very well. Let’s begin.

Upon walking into the Javits Center one couldn’t help but notice the impressive Formula 1 race car that the folks from Mattel had set up right there in the lobby. It was promoting one of their latest offerings for “Hot Wheels”.

The holiday season was drawing ever so closer to being right on top of us and that means it was once again time for the Toy Insider’s awesome holiday happening known as the “Holiday Of Play”. Now according to my media memory, I’ve been attending both this and their summertime “Sweet Suite” event since about 2016 and over the years have parsed the content between this and my lifestyle website “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”. While that sites content can be found by clicking HERE, this post lays its focus on the kinds of things the more grown up collector leans on. Give or take of course, so let’s explore these awesome items starting with our friends at Playmates Toys.

Playmates Toys has two really big licenses at the moment with their long-standing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures and playsets and the Miraculous Ladybug stuff. Last time, I posted the Ladybug things over on “The Chronicles” but with so much happening over there I just put them all together here. They didn’t have any of the Star Trek stuff that I saw at other events but maybe next time.

It was only a few days ago when the PiercingMetal High Command was in attendance at the collaborative effort known as “The Play Date” (announced HERE). This offering came care of the fine folks at the Toy Insider, The Toy Association and The Toybook and it was done as a bit of a preview of some awesome toys that were coming soon. As you know, the famed Toy Fair was not happening in the winter months this year but would be returning in the Fall after the COVID-19 pause. While I loved exploring this one, the Kidult offerings were limited and so I present those findings with our readership in this narrative. Let’s start with the Playmates Toys products.

As you know, Playmates Toys has held the license for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” toys and assorted collectibles for decades and I always love seeing what they have coming down the pike. I’ve been a fan of this franchise forever and still remember snagging early issues of the Mirage Studios comic books while in college but I digress. Check it out.
