Though I was never one of the folks who played the classic “Dungeons and Dragons” role-playing game, I sure did enjoy the animated series with the same name and some of the toys that were released around that time. The game itself is still mega-popular so a live-action film featuring characters one might find in such adventuring makes sense. The first Official Trailer was recently released by Paramount Pictures and I’ve got that and more for you down below.

The Premise: A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

Now In Theaters: “It Chapter Two” (9/5/2019)

Having done a few trailer and feature posts about Warner Brothers Pictures “It Chapter Two” already, I’m going to direct you to THIS LINK so you are more up to speed about the film which is opening today in theaters everywhere. The Premise: Twenty-seven years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise, it returns to terrorize the town of Derry once more. Now adults, the Losers have long since gone their separate ways. However, the kids are disappearing again, so Mike, the only one of the group to remain in their hometown, calls the others home. Damaged by the experiences of their past, they must each conquer their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise once and for all… putting them directly in the path of the clown that became deadlier than ever.

Orion Pictures: “Gretel & Hansel” Teaser Trailer

As promised, I’m going to keep serving up the Horror trailers and opening day fanfare posts when the time is on my side to do so. You might have already realized that the amount of superhero stuff finds me populating this part of the Pop Culture features quite a bit and now I have a brand new one for you. A Horror version of the Grimm fairy tale of “Hansel and Gretel” but for this new Orion Pictures feature its been reversed to “Gretel & Hansel”. Let’s take a look at the first teaser clip.

The Premise: The story is described as being set a long time ago in a distant fairy tale countryside and focuses on a young girl (Sophia Lillis) who leads her little brother (Sam Leakey) into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
