System Of A Down Adds Second Night To All “3” One-Of-A-Kind Stadium Events for Summer 2025

Due to incredible demand, System Of A Down has added second shows in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium on August 27 with Korn; Chicago, IL at Soldier Field on September 1 with Avenged Sevenfold; and Toronto, ON at Rogers Stadium on September 5 with Deftones, as part of their one-of-a-kind massive stadium events next year. Their performances in Toronto mark the first hard rock act to play two nights at the brand new Rogers Stadium. Special guests Polyphia and Wisp will open for all shows.

Today, System Of A Down announces three massive stadium events featuring Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn. Produced by Live Nation, the performances will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, on August 28 with Korn; Soldier Field in Chicago, IL, on August 31 with Avenged Sevenfold; and conclude at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, ON, on September 3 with Deftones. One would think that a band shows promise when someone like Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) takes an immediate interest to the way that you are doing things. Such was the case for Fair To Midland who employ a wide diversity and genre scoping of styles as they deliver some truly tasty Hard Rock. While their full-length album is due on Tankian’s label in March 2007, this EP allows you a little teaser enjoyment while you are waiting. Four songs are often more than enough to pique ones interest and prompt additional research into a band and what better way to reinforce this than with demos and live recordings. FTM give you two of their original demos, which are now in a cleaner and sleek production as well as a couple of performances that really do a good job of capturing the vibe of the group in a concert setting. “A Seafarer’s Knot” is a particularly adventurous song that shows the band holds many influences from some of the technical masters of the past.

“Mezmerize” by System Of A Down

The newest release by System Of A Down is quite impressive. You might be asking how much so well for starters I was never more than a casual fan of this band. I found some stuff just OK to me, never appealed or really enjoyed the earlier releases. However once I placed “Mezmerize” in the CD player I was floored by the production and delivery of the piece. As a matter of fact I am on listen three and am clearly heading for listen four. Overall this piece is explosive Metal and is also a lot of fun to listen to. The piece begins with a slow harmony laden “Soldier Side”, and once “B.Y.O.B.” kicks in your head will be banging. There are a lot of expletives in the CD, and while I am not a fan of censoring music or Artists I do think younger listeners should run this one by their folks first.
